I Finally Watched...

We end our parody month with a mockumentary focused on pop idol Connor4Real played by Andy Samberg in this off the wall comedy that is actually quite solid! We also realized that most if not all our all parodies contain in one form or another a musical element, which was completely accidental! Continuing our parody month with MacGruber (2010) and to add even more connection with these films, we also continue our parody with Val Kilmer "week" Its fun to see Kilmer's evolution in comedy and hope you guys enjoy this weeks episode!     Music: https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want Create your  podcast  today!  #madeonzencastr

Top Secret! (1984) blends Cold War spy thrills with Elvis-style musical parody as naive American rock star Nick Rivers stumbles into a web of espionage while performing in East Germany. Amazingly enough this is Val Kilmer's very first film he starred in and definitely won't be his last comedy we do here on the pod! Enjoy!     Music: https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want Create your  podc...

Lady Bird (2017) is definitely one we've been waiting for here at IFW! Definitely one Alain should not have missed, however that is now remedied! But did the hype of this film oversell it for him? Find out on our St. Patty's Day episode of I Finally Watched...! Enjoy! (Also, did we make this our St. Patrick's Day episode only because Saoirse Una Ronan is Irish American? Yes)   Music: https://jesse...

With all the golf happening this week, we decided to do one of the most mediocre gold stories ever told, just kidding, but the gold is the best part of this film! Enjoy!     Music: https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want Create your  podcast  today!  #madeonzencastr

Aftersun (2022) is an emotional gut punch that's so unexpected it almost comes off as a horror film, until you realize the demons were inside you all along and in this episode! David and Alain do their best in deciphering the emotional turmoil that stirs between the pages of this father\daughter duo on their vacation! Enjoy!     Music:  https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want Create your ...

A fusion of a jukebox musical and original songs, made into a play 17 years after the movie came out, Cry-Baby is a fun one! And as Alain's choice you know Davids gonna have a few words about it!     Music:  https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want Create your  podcast  today!  #madeonzencastr

Imagine a movie that takes itself 110% serious, however is still a parody... in a way! Brick is a self serious neo noir set in high school and it i8s very very good! Hope you enjoy our review!    Music:  https://jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com/album/want...

On this episode of I Finally Watched, the hosts dive into Annie Hall, the movie that more or less invented the modern rom-com as we know it. From neurotic love stories and fourth-wall breaks to bittersweet realism, they unpack why this film is the granddaddy of every quirky, talky romance that came after—and whether it still works for first-time viewers today. Funny, thoughtful, and a little exist...

In this episode of I Finally Watched…, the hosts kick off their In Memoriam Month by revisiting Sidney Pollack’s 1975 political thriller Three Days of the Condor. They break down the film’s paranoid tone, slow-burn suspense, and Cold War anxieties, while discussing why Robert Redford’s understated performance as an unwitting CIA analyst remains so effective. The conversation then shifts to a refle...

Gene Hackman was a great actor and we hope he rests in peace! The French Connection is a great film with a shady protagonist and that's why we love it! MERRY CHRISTMAS, YA'LL!!  What makes Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) a Christmas movie? Is it that they wish each other a Merry Christmas a couple of times? Is it the Christmas lights in the park during the chase scene OR is it Michelle Monaghan's short Santa dress? Whatever the reason for the season, welcome to another one of IFW's Not-A-Christmas Movie Christmas Movie Special! ENJOY!     This episode...

Listen, I know what you're thinking, December must be "film bro" films. Next, they must be doing American Psycho, but no... these films just so happen to be a coincidence and also ones we've already watched in correlation with our annual tradition of December! But man, say what you want about Wolf of Wall Street but its a damn good film with a damn good cast! Only if Paul Dano was in this... tsk t...
