I Finally Watched...

Our 31st episode lands on our last episode of our #SpookySeason month, with, Halloween (1978). Neither of us has seen the original and it was a great way to end our horror movie month! We take a deep plunge into the Michael Myers lore and what we liked and disliked about the film.

Neither Alain or David has watched It Comes At Night, a movie about a family living in a post-apocalyptic world who runs into another family trying to survive. The guys break down this extremely intense film and try to figure out what the ending actually meant.

David finally watches Shaun of the Dead, a satirical horror comedy relying on the comedic chops of Simon Pegg and the brilliance of Edgar Wright's writing. Less of a movie review and more of us talking about how much we like Edgar Wright.

David finally watches Nightcrawler (not the X-men hero) one of Alain's favorite 2014 films, which is saying something because 2014 was a great year for film! Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, and Riz Ahmed

Alain finally watches A Knight's Tale. The guys discuss the rules of jousting and whatever you call the pointy thing they use to knock each other off their horses. ITS CALLED A LANCE! A Knight's Tale stars Heath Ledger, Shannyn Sossamon, and Paul Bethany  

In the first "I Finally Watched..." episode to feature a guest, the guys bring in Taylor Evans, Alain's girlfriend, to help them review one of her favorite movies... The Notebook. A Nicholas Sparks adaptation starring Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, and James Marsden.

David finally watches Chasing Amy, a film Alain hasn't seen in quite some time. The two go over what they each think the movie is trying to say, back in the 90's and now. Directed by Kevin Smith and starring; Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee, and Dwight Ewell.

This fast-paced, emotional rollercoaster of a Revolutionary War epic, had us on the edge of our seats the entire time...Well only after the first son dies. I Finally Watched... The Patriot. Starring Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger, and the amazingly villainous Jason Isaacs.
