I Can’t Wait to Show My Kids

This week Mark and Brad reach the penultimate episode their first round of Saturday Night Live Alumni by watching "Wayne's World" from 1992, and discussing when to show it to their kids.

As Brad and Mark continue their SNL mini season they set their focus on yet another John Landis romantic comedy, "Coming to America" from 1988, starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall and just the right amount of James Earl Jones.

Brad and Mark are back to continue their Saturday Night Live season by looking at 1984's smash hit, "Ghostbusters", and discussing when to show it to their kids. 

Brad and Mark are on a mission from God, to start a new season of filling in gaps in their cinematic knowledge, but this time they're focusing on Saturday Night Live members! This week the Boys watched 1980's "The Blues Brothers" starring Dan Akroyd, Jon Belushi and Carrie Fisher...kind of. 

Brad and Mark finish their season of sports by watching and discussing the 2015 tennis mocumentary from HBO, "7 Days in Hell"m and decide when if ever they should show it to their kids. 

This week Brad and Mark Psyched to be joined by the great and mighty wizard, Josh to discuss 1998's "BASEketball".

As Brad and Mark begin to run through conventional sports they come upon the 1996 bowling based comedy "Kingpin" is it a strike or a gutter ball? And when can they show it to their kids!?

Brad and Mark are back talking all of that good smack, mostly about yo momma, and this week's movie "White Men Can't Jump" from 1992. Is it a beloved basketball classic? Does it make them feel like chumps? When do they show it their kids?

This week Brad and Mark are joined by The Dang Ol Venture Boyz own Jonny, this week they discuss 2014's "Foxcatcher", a film about wrestling with ones demons, father figures, and the value of horses. 

In a effort to bring you better radio Brad and Mark call an audible and replace "The Replacements" with "A Knight's Tale". 

Mark and Brad are hitting the gym as they discuss this weeks entry into the sports season, the documentary "Pumping Iron", from 1977 and decide when is the right time to foster a love of fitness and large men in their children. 

Like a round house kick to the face Brad and Mark are back to talk about the greatest martial arts movie that definitely isn't Mortal Kombat, or Street Fighter but if you squint real hard you can see why we might think that.  Join the boys as they watch and discuss "Bloodsport" from 1988 and decide when is the right time to show to their kids.  

This week Brad and Mark watch the greatest golf movie of all time, 1980's "Caddyshack" and discuss whether Is a hole in one or is it just alright, and when to show it to their kids. 

Brad and Mark continue their season of sports with a baseball movie all about changing how the American Past Time was played, coached, and enjoyed. This week the boys watch 2011's "Moneyball" staring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman, and discuss when is the right time to show it to their kids.

Sports build character through adversity, and challenge, therefore the greatest sport is Dodgeball, because its violent, exclusionary and degrading, vis a vis, this week Brad and Mark watched the greatest film about the greatest sport, "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story". 

Brad and Mark are back with a brand new season talking about the Wide Wide World of Sports! This week they focus on Nascar by watching and discussing 2006's "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby". Directed by Adam McKay starring Will Ferrrell, John C. Reilly, and Sasch Baron Cohen.   

This week Brad and Mark take a break from reviewing films and revisit their first year, featuring special guest presenters, and pomp!

This week Brad and Mark round out their mini World War II by examining post war Russia with "The Death of Stalin" directed by Armando Iannucci.

Brad and Mark are back onto the second world war to discuss the magical realism film, "Sisu" from 2022, and discuss when we can show it to their kids.  Is it a pastiche of action films? Is it a modern age Conan the Barbarian story? Or is it just a glorious 90 minute romp through Nazi murder? 

For their 50th episode, Brad and Mark watch arguably the greatest musical of all time, "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" starring John C. Reilly, Jenna Fischer, and more people than we can credit here, and discuss, when do we show it to our kids, parents, partners and random people on the street. Thank you listeners for 50 Episodes! Having beaten back the challenge of last week's movie Mark and Brad fall back and regroup to cover David Ayer's "Fury" starring Brad Pitt, Logan Lehrman, and  Shia LeBeouf, and discuss when is too late to show it to our kids. 

Brad and Mark are back to continue their deep dive mini series into World War 2, and learn an important lesson about lying when they watch and discuss Clint Eastwood's "Flags of Our Fathers" from 2006.

Correcting for Mark's colossal misstep of having never seen it, Brad has flipped the script! Join the Boys as they watch and discuss the best WW2 movie of all time according to everyone, "Saving Private Ryan" directed by Stephen Spielberg, and decide when is the best time to show it to their kids. 

Having successfully completed their mission, "Operation John Carpenter Deep Dive", Brad and Mark set their sights on the past to begin a new mission, World War 2 movies.  What better place to start than Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk"? 

The time has come to end their John Carpenter deep dive, and to do that Brad and Mark are joined by Jonny from "The Dang Ol Podcast" to watch and discuss the sci-fi student film that got a budget, "Dark Star" and when they can show it to their kids.
