2023/24: Huntly v Buckie Thistle 15.01.2024

After netting a late equaliser, Huntly would see Buckie grab all three points minutes later in a 3-2 win for the Jags. Despite the result, Huntly Manager Colin Charlesworth couldn’t fault the efforts of his players. After admitting his side were not at their best, Manager Graeme Stewart was pleased to leave Christie Park with all three points.

Huntly recorded their first win under new Manager Colin Charlesworth with a 3-1 victory at Lossiemouth. Charlesworth admitted they had to fight for the three points against his former side. It’s one win in the last five for Lossiemouth with Manager Frank McGettrick admitting they lost poor goals.

Huntly went down to their heaviest defeat of the season after trailing one-nil at the break, they would then conceded four second half goals away to champions Brechin City. Colin Charlesworth felt it was a game of two halves for his side. After back-to-back defeats, City Manager Gavin Price was pleased with the three points and a fourth hat-trick of the season from top scorer Grady McGrath.

2023/24: Huntly v Rothes 11.12.2023

Huntly and Rothes fought out a 4-4 draw in a fixture at Christie Park. Huntly are the league’s highest scorers with 44 goals and in his first game in charge. Interim Manager Colin Charlesworth couldn’t fault the efforts from his side. Rothes are unbeaten in their last three fixtures and after being 3-1 ahead, Manager Ross Jack felt it was two points dropped.

Huntly are still chasing their first win over Banks O’ Dee with Manager Allan Hale stating conceding two goals in quick succession was costly for his side. It’s six games unbeaten for the Aberdeen side as Paul Lawson was pleased to see his side get off to a good start with three goals in a short spell.

Huntly made it six wins in succession with a 3-1 win over Keith in the Aberdeenshire Shield Quarter-Finals. We caught up with Manager Allan Hale after the club secured a fourth successive semi-final in the competition.

It was the first time the black and gold’s had beaten their opponent at Christie Park in the league since August 2012 as Allan Hale was pleased with the three points earned. It was a third league game without a win for Fraserburgh as Manager Mark Cowie admitted the goals they lost were costly.

Huntly went top of the table on goal difference with an eight-nil home win over struggling Clachnacuddin. It was the biggest home win in the league for the black and gold’s since November 2007 as Manager Allan Hale admitted it was a pleasing afternoon for his side.

Huntly top scorer Andrew Hunter made it four goals in two games with the winner in our Scottish Cup first round win over East Stirlingshire. The 29 year old had started the game up front but showed his versatility playing deeper and felt as the game went on they could make the most of an extra man following a sending-off midway through the second half.

A dramatic stoppage time winner from and Andrew Hunter free kick earned Huntly a one-nil victory over Lowland League side East Stirlingshire. It was a first away win in the Scottish Cup since September 2016 who despite not seeing his side play at their best, was pleased to get through to the next round.

Huntly netted three times inside the opening six minutes in a 4-2 home win over Turriff United. Despite going three goals up within the first six minutes, Manager Allan Hale admitted having a three goal lead is never comfortable. Turriff Boss Dean Donaldson admitted the poor start from his side was costly.
