Each of us has a race set before us, we are not in charge of how that race looks but we do have a choice - run it with perseverance. The author of Hebrews wrote, 'And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith'.

In light of all that Paul, Silvanus and Timothy wrote to the Thessalonians, the last portion of the letter is specific instruction about the way they were to live while they awaited the second coming.
