We like to treat the Bible like a RULEBOOK and not a LOVE LETTER because a rulebook lets us keeps score and we love winning! The Bible doesn’t exist so you can beat someone spiritually. The message of the Bible is simple: only Jesus is winning, but He loves us so much we can share in His win!

The Bible is written from a Middle Eastern Jewish perspective. It naturally challenges our Western American perspective. When we twist the Bible to fit our western perspective we miss out on the Bible’s power to challenge mistaken Western presuppositions about life, love, purpose and family.

The Bible is the record of two promises God made to mankind.
