Hope for the Finding

The greek, Syrophoenecian woman comes to Jesus, desperate for Him to cast out a demon from her daughter. She is desperate in her plea, but like her, we are all desperate for Jesus. We also see an important lesson that Jesus reaches outside of Israel to minister to people that non jews, further redefining the lines of our understanding of What the Mission is in reaching all people.

In Mark 7, the religious leaders of Jesus Day followed Jesus but not to find truth, but rather to find fault. Well intentioned people can believe in God, but come to God with the wrong intentions, and it is from, and can lead to, a heart that is far from Him.

If we are honest, we find some places in scripture to be dry, difficult to read, or difficult to understand.
