Hope for the Finding

After passing Judgment on those who have rejected the knowledge of the truth of Christ, the judgment turns to the church at Rome who are also without excuse. They are without excuse for passing judgment while committing the same vile acts as the unbelievers. Yet their lack of an excuse is worse, because they knew not just God but the goodness of God. We continue our series on 5 truths in which we can believe without a doubt. We have shared in previous weeks, we can believe without a doubt: 1. God's Word is True 2. Jesus is the Son of God 3. Believers Have Eternal Life and now we add a fourth: God Hears our Prayers. Listen as we share the truth about prayer and how it impacts Heaven and Earth.

Continuing the series on that which we can know without any doubt. There are some things in the Bible that God intentionally left vague so that we will look to Him and trust him. There are others that there can be no doubt or debate over. Last week we shared the first: Jesus is the Son of God. This week we shared the next two truths in this section of scripture of which there can be no doubt.

I John was written primarily so that we may know that we know Him, that we may know the truth. There are many issues on which Christians may disagree or debate, but there are issues on which we can know for sure, without a doubt.

Confidence and boldness, as discussed in the previous verses comes when we are saved and become the children of God. As evidenced by our growing love for God and others, while being honest with ourselves, delighting in obeying God's commands. All this however is possible only if we have a God given Faith that leads us to victory as maturing Christians.

Living confident and bold in the face of life and the coming judgment is one of the blessings of being a believer in Jesus Christ and child of God. Last week we shared how we can know we can live confident and bold when we experience 3 important truths. Last week we shared the truth that our love is being matured. This week we look at the other two truths found in this passage of scripture.

Without faith Christ there can be no certainty or true assuredness in life. But with with Christ, when we have a true saving relationship with Him, not only can we have confidence in living, but also we have confidence and boldness in facing death.

Fear, anxiety, depression, and anxiety seem to be some of our greatest struggles as Christians. We can have victory over these giants through Jesus Christ our Lord, but in order to do so we must learn to tune out the voices that are not from the Lord and tune in the one voice to which we must listen and believe.
