Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Skype. We can instantly connect with one another online. Why then do we feel lonely? Maybe because the illusion of connecting can't take the place of actually connecting one on one and face to face.

Being the church instead of just going to church is God's design for how we are to live interdependently with one another.

To love people where they are and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ requires that we establish an authentic church culture of true community.

We live in a culture promoting isolation, autonomy and inauthenticity. We desperately need the authentic relationships Jesus had in mind when he prayed that His followers would be one.
