The HUMILITY of JESUS CHRIST reveals the GOD who SERVES (v 6-8)… and ultimately the SUBMISSION of EVERYONE (v 9-11).

1. The PROCLAMATION of God (v 1-2) 2. The PRONOUNCEMENT against man (v 3-11) 3. The PETITIONS of the servant for the servants (v 12-17)

At the BIRTH of Jesus: 1. True HUMILITY is MODELLED to all (v 1-7) 2. A SAVIOUR is ANNOUNCED for all (v 8-14) 3. A RESPONSE is EVOKED from all (v 15-20)

1. God BLESSES those who BELIEVE (v 39-45) 2. God EXALTS those who are HUMBLE (v 46-56) 3. God gives LIGHT to those who are in DARKNESS (v 57-79)

1. God’s servants EXPERIENCE His ongoing KINDNESS (v 26-30) 2. God’s servants BELIEVE He can do the IMPOSSIBLE (v 31-37) 3. God’s servants TRUST His good PLAN (v 38)

1. Suffering will HAPPEN, guard your THOUGHTS (v 5-7) 2. Prayer is HEARD, trust God's TIMING (v 8-17) 3. Unbelief is DANGEROUS, remember its CONSEQUENCES (v 18-25)

Teaching the gospel with the aim to persuade is… 1. Often OFFENSIVE (v 1-3) 2. Exceedingly EFFECTIVE (v 4)

We can be INTENTIONAL with our RELATIONSHIPS by: 1. PUTTING ON our christian CHARACTER (3:12-14) 2. BEING WISE in our CONDUCT (4:5-6)

1. The WEIGHT of the charge (v 1) 2. The SUBSTANCE of the charge (v 2) 3. The INTENT of the charge (v 3-4)

We don't GIVE UP in PRAYER: 1. Because God does CARE (v 1-5) 2. Because God will ANSWER (v 6-8)

Two REALITIES that should MOTIVATE us to FULFILL the MISSION: 1. We have PEACE with GOD (v 19-20) 2. We are SENT by GOD (v 21-22)

Two reasons to STRIVE for UNITY: 1. The reality of OPPOSITION OUTSIDE (1:27-1:30) 2. The possibility of DIVISION WITHIN (2:1-2:4)

When JESUS is our greatest TREASURE: 1. We DESIRE to HONOUR Him (v 18b-20) 2. We LONG to BE WITH Him(v 21-23) 3. We DENY ourselves to help others GROW in Him (v 24-26)

The gospel SPREADS… 1. Even when people try to STOP it (v 12-14) 2. Even when people have MIXED MOTIVES (v 15-18a)

Paul’s THANKFULNESS for the Philippians PARTNERSHIP: 1. REMINDS us of our IDENTITY (v 1-2) 2. SHOWS us the importance of COMMITMENT (v 3-8) 3. GUIDES us in our PRAYER (v 9-11)

1. False devotion aims to MANIPULATE God into GETTING what I WANT (v 1-5) 2. True devotion aims to LOVE OTHERS by GIVING what they NEED (v 6-9a)

As Servants of the Gospel... 1. We never TAMPER with God's WORD (v 2-4) 2. We always TRUST in God's POWER (v 5-6)

We Must Pray for God's Blessing... 1. So the nations will SING His PRAISE (v 3-5) 2. So the nations will KNOW His SAVING POWER (v 2) 3. So the nations will SEE Him as their SHEPHERD (v 4) 4. So the nations will FEAR and WORSHIP Him (v 7)

When we OBEY the HOLY SPIRIT: 1. We will see God OPEN HEARTS (v 11-15) 2. We will See people EXPERIENCE FREEDOM (v 16-20) 3. We will See others PARTICIPATE in our JOY (v 21-34)

1. Peter tells us WHO we ARE (v 11a) 2. Peter tells us what we are CALLED to DO a. AVOID whats’ HARMFUL (v 11b) b. CONDUCT ourselves HONOURABLY (v 12)
