Gordon launched our new mini-series on Joy with a short introduction, considering Jesus words to his disciples in John 15:11 (ESV)... that our joy might be full & complete.

Lily & Troy led our Christmas Family Service, exploring together what (or who) brings joy to us at Christmas time.

Adam & Lizzie Gregory spoke from Luke 2:8-17 (NIV) & Matthew 2:1-2 (NIV) as together they looked at the birth of Jesus being for everyone, everywhere!

Adam Gregory brought our Counterfeit Gods series to a close with a word on finding and replacing your idols by taking practical actionable steps.

Ade Samuel spoke on the story of Jacob as she explored some of the hidden idols in our hearts that may have been there our whole lifetime, and how we might bring them to an end.

Gordon spoke on our Counterfeit Gods series, looking at the idol of power and glory. Exploring contemporary and historical examples, we look at how power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Jite Idowu spoke on our Counterfeit Gods series on the seduction of success.

Albert Akhidenor spoke from Luke 19:1-10 (NLT) and explored the theme of money and how money makes a good servant but a terrible master.

Adam Gregory & Amaka Akhidenor launched our brand new Hope Kids with an excellent tag-team preach sharing some of the vision and Biblical encouragement as we start our new Sunday provision for those aged 4yrs-11yrs. Lizzie Gregory shared a beautiful message with lots of personal reflection on the topic of love and relationships. Speaking from Genesis 29:14-35 (NIV), Lizzie used the story of Jacob, Rachel & Leah as a platform for exploring how when the good thing of relationships becomes an ultimate thing in the throneroom of our hearts it becomes a bad thing.

Emmanuel Samuel spoke on how the 'good thing' of family, when put before Jesus, can become quickly become an idol.

Gordon Watson introduced our new preaching series, 'Counterfeit Gods', based on the excellent book by Dr. Tim Keller, which explores the idols and false Gods in our lives which can so easily captivate our spiritual hearts and minds. Verses used: • Exodus 20:3-6 (ESV) • Psalm 115:4-8 (ESV) • Romans 1:18-25 (ESV) • Matthew 22:36-39 (ESV) • 1 Corinthians 10:13-14 (ESV)

Ade Samuel kindly re-recorded her message from 15/09/24 on the spiritual gift of the Evangelist. Speaking from Ephesians 4:11-16, Ade encourages us to seek this gift. Making and taking every opportunity to preach the Gospel, extending the mission of God in the power of this gift.

Adam Gregory & Jonathan Idowu brought our Spiritual Gifts series to a close by tag-team preaching on the two spiritual gifts of Pastor & Teacher that are both referenced in Ephesians 4.

Gordon spoke from 2 Timothy 2:1-10 (NLT) encouraging us to think about our role in raising and releasing other disciples, sharing the truth that was entrusted to us by other faithful people.

Leslie Moyo spoke from Matthew 18:23-35 (NIV) and shared how this verse speaks of the mercy of God and the expression of that same mercy as a spiritual gift.

Gordon shared briefly from Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV) and spoke about a significant prophetic promise to Hope Church Sittingbourne... one which we've always felt held weight and have held with hopeful anticipation. Our Hope Youth & Young Adults gave feedback from their trip to take part in the Newday summer festival in Norwich, enjoying Jesus together with 9,000+ other young people and servers at Norfolk Showground. We give thanks to Jesus for lives touched, changed and transformed by the presence of Jesus and His wonderful truth. Amen x

Natalie shared from 1 Corinthians 12 (ESV) and shared both biblical and personal examples of the spiritual gift of faith being used, and how to grow in the gift.
