Jesus gives some very stern words to those who cause others to sin. He says it's better to tie a millstone around your neck and drown in a lake than to cause a young person to stumble. Woe to those who groom young people to sin.

David flees to the wilderness and all the distressed join him. He becomes the captain of over 400 men who end up becoming a pretty special group.

Jesus descends from the mountain and is confronted with a desperate father. The disciples couldn't cast out the demon in his son. Jesus despairs their lack of faith but uses the opportunity to show the power of faith.

David is in full escape mode from Saul. He flees to Samuel in Ramah and then to Jonathan in Gibeah. There is no going back even though David hasn't done anything wrong.

Jesus begins to prepare His followers for his crucifixion and resurrection. This comes as a shock to those who just heard Him say He was going to build His church. Following Jesus presents several paradoxes, Deny yourself, and to live you must die.

Jesus promises to build His church and nothing that hell does will matter. Are you part of the church? How do you know? It depends on who you think Jesus is. Peter declared that Jesus was the Son of God.

Only nine percent of Christians read their Bibles consistently and Biblical literacy is at an all-time low. All through the Bible, it tells the reader of the benefits of knowing and following its principles. Tonight we will equip you with the tools necessary to study your Bible.

Jesus called the Pharisees and Scribes, "the Blind leading the Blind." They were so consumed with keeping that they had become spiritually blind. Jesus shows us how to overcome the blindness that comes from being more concerned with the rules than a relationship with Him.

We look at the classic story of the battle between David and Goliath. David's dependence upon the Lord is a great example that we can learn from.

Jesus sends the disciples out on a boat. Jesus catches up to them by walking on water. Peter boldly asks to walk on the water. He was the only one brave enough to step out of the boat.

David is introduced as a very important figure as it pertains to scripture and the history of Israel. God tells Samuel to stop grieving over Saul.

Herod Antipas lived in fear of his past. He was consumed with what others thought and liked to impress people with power he didn't have. Contrast that with Jesus who was filled with compassion when he saw the needy masses and you get a tale of two leaders.

God gives Saul one last chance to redeem his character and throne. Saul fails miserably while lying and blaming others along the way. God rejects him as king and sets the stage for David to take the throne.

Jesus shares three parables at the end of Matthew 13. Two are about precious treasures that are found and the last is about end times. Through it all we see how we are God's hidden treasure.

Have you ever been with someone who put you on the defensive about your beliefs and didn't know how to answer them? Tonight's training will equip you to engage in a discussion with the person so you aren't on your heels and the other person isn't turned off.

Jesus shares three parables that expose the opposition. Satan uses counterfeit Christians to sow weeds into the church. Christians need to be able to identify the enemies' tactics and know their options.

Jonathan attacked the Philistines and God brought the victory, Meanwhile, Saul couldn't stop tripping over himself. We see some incredibly poor judgment decisions that prevents Israel from complete freedom.

Jesus teaches the masses parables to teach spiritual principles to those with open hearts They also serve to show us the state of our hearts. Are we receiving the Word or are other things crowding it out?

Israel was being pressed on all sides by the Philistines. The army had deserted Saul and they were left without any weapons. It was at this moment that Jonathan decided to take a bold step of faith and challenge the Philistines. God rewarded him by defeating the enemy.

Ever miss a road sign and get lost? Some people miss the Biblical signs right in front of them. Jesus warns us missing the signs can lead us down the wrong path and worse to the wrong destination.

Saul shows some serious character flaws as he leads the Israelites against the Philistines. Instead of seeking the Lord he caved to the fear of man.

As opposition to Jesus grew He made it clear that His disciples would have a choice to make. You can't play both sides. Either you are for Jesus or against Him.

Saul has been anointed and ordained as the king of Israel. In his first test, He proves up to the challenge by leading Israel into battle.

The Pharisees had turned the blessing of the Sabbath into a burden with all of their rules. Jesus reasserts His authority over the Sabbath by showing us how we can find true rest.
