Paul's first priority was advancing the Gospel. He wanted the Philippians to remain committed to that even in the midst of trials. 

Paul writes a letter to the church in Philippi and exudes joy for his relationship with them even though he is writing from prison. In these first eleven verses, we see four aspects that will lead us to live a life full of joy. 

The writer of Hebrews closes his epistle by giving his readers instructions in how to worship together. We see that we worship an unchanging savior, need to feed on a healthy diet of doctrine and grace and lift up an offering of praise. 

The author of Hebrews gives six indicators of faith. Do you exhibit them in your life? If you were brought up on charges of being a Christian, would they be able to convict you on the evidence of your faith?

Mount Sinai and Mount Zion are contrasted to show that the Kingdom of God cannot be shaken.

The writer of Hebrews encourages his readers to run the race of life and not quit. They will need endurance but all they have to do is look to Jesus who the author and perfecter of our faith.

Moses provides a great case study on how to use your faith to make difficult decisions. He forsook the luxury and comfort of Pharoah's palace to identify with the Nation of Israel. 

Through the Patriarchs, we see how to have faith in our daily life. We see how our faith needs to be tested, patient, and how God is in control. 

A timely reminder to endure is given to the readers of the Epistle of Hebrews. This reminder is a warning not to despise the Word of God and turn your back on Jesus Christ when things get complicated. We have an eternal possession that is waiting for us, and we need to endure till the end to receive it.

Jesus ushered in a new way to live. We can now go boldly to the throne of God and stir up love and good works.
