Matthew 1:18-25 – God understand s your struggles.  Jesus came and dwelt among us so that He could save us.  Joseph reminds us to serve and follow God no matter what God asks us.  It requires that we put our agendas and plans aside and use our lives to bring honor and glory to Him.

James 4:13-17 – We are placed on this earth for a short time. God has saved us and given us resources to impact His Kingdom. It is up to us to use our time, talents, and money for Him and not us. Genesis 50:22-26 –  Joseph is an incredible example of a life well-lived for God. In every circumstance, he honors and follows God with his whole heart. Joseph never sees himself as a victim, and he guards his heart. He always acts with wisdom and integrity. He uses every situation to honor and focus on his God. I pray that we live our lives with the same mindset and focus.

Genesis 50 – After the funeral of Jacob, Joseph ' s brothers face the consequences of unresolved guilt. Joseph forgave them 40 years ago because he saw his circumstances through the eyes of God. This story reminds us of the rewards of a forgiving spirit and the consequences of unresolved guilt. Choose wisely how your past will write your story for the future.
