Nehemiah 3 - God saved us to serve, not sit and soak. For His kingdom to go forward, we must be about the work of serving him. It involves all of serving where He has put us and with willing hearts and hands 

The shepherds remind us that Christians all have a story. It is our job to share that story with the world. Life in this world will have struggles and difficulties. Our job is to not run from the hardship but to embrace it and respond to it in a way that Honors God and exalts Christ. Be obedient as God uses you in 2022. 

Luke 1,2 – The Christmas story is a story of Great JOY.  Christians are to be people of joy, despite difficult circumstances.  We do not allow people to rob us of the joy we have in the Christ of the Christmas story.  We realize that whatever we have is enough, content with what God has provided. 

John 1:1-14 John’s account of the Christmas story reminds us that Jesus as the creator God came and “tented” among us.  Don’t lose the wonder and mystery of what He did at Christmas.  As a Christian (a “little” Christ) , allow the world to see the light of Christ in your life this season. 

Benediction .  Genesis 37:25-36 Joseph’s journey to Egypt reminds us that God is in control.  He orchestrates the smallest of details to accomplish His purposes.  Jacob teaches us that we will reap what we sow.  We have to make changes now and be careful to sow the right things.  Be sensitive to God’s work in your life and respond by trusting Him.  

Genesis 37:12-24- Joseph’s story is a great reminder that we must deal with our sin while it is still small.  Reuben is an example of someone who starts with potential, but wastes it and never ends up accomplishing what God had for him.  Joseph reminds us that God is in control and has a plan.  Even “pit” experiences have a purpose in our lives, but we have to remain faithful and trust God.  

Luke 17:11-19 - In this story, Jesus reminds us that He offers salvation to everyone regardless of circumstances and background.  He also warns us that people can experience Christian things without possessing Christ.  Genuine Christianity involves a relationship with Christ, not an experience of religion.  Allow Christ to be seen in you this week.  

Genesis 37:5-11 - God reveals Himself clearly in His word today.  He has given us the Holy Spirit and fellow believers to help guide, instruct, and encourage us as we grow in Christ.  Instead of starting with our circumstances, we have to begin with God.  God uses these dreams to give Joseph hope for the future.  He gives us His Word, His Spirit, and fellow believers to guide us.  Look to Him this...

The parables of Jesus remind us that God's Kingdom is very different from the world on this earth.  Jesus teaches us to use our time here wisely.  Our existence here is unpredictable, so we must always be ready to meet our master.  What we do with Jesus here will determine whether we spend eternity with Him or apart from Him.  Choose Jesus while you still have the opportunity because you will...

John 10:11-21 - In the parable of the Good Sh ep herd , Jesus reminds us that we are all sheep.  Everyone is following a shepherd.  Which S hepherd are you following?  One S hepherd gives life, and the other S hepherd brings destruction.  Who you fo l low will determine your life here and in the world to come, so choose wisely.  

Luke 16:19-31 - The implications of the parable of the Rich man and Lazarus are sobering.  Jesus explains in clear terms that everyone will live some where in the world to come.  The righteous will be with Him , and the unr i ghteous will spend eternity in a place of punishment for rejecting His offer of salvation.  Each of us must be ready for the day that we leave this world and enter our eterna...

Matthew 21:33-46 - The Parable of the landowner is a challenge for us to consider what we have done with Jesus.  It is our responsibility to respond correctly to Jesus' offer of salvation in our lives.  It is also a reminder of the grace, mercy, and patience of a loving God.  As Christians, we must use our resources to honor our Master and represent Him well in a dark and godless world.  

Matthew 25:16-30 - The parable of the talents reminds us that a day of accounting is coming.  For some, that day will be a time of joy and blessing.  For others, it will be a day of agony because you missed opportunities to respond appropriately to the master.  This parable reminds believers that growth is expected, and we are possessors, not owners of all God has given us.  May each of us work di...

The parable of the 10 virgins is a reminder that everyone must be ready to meet the S avior.  Unbelievers are challenged to have a personal relationship with Jesus.  Believers are challenged to live so that they are not ashamed when the Savior comes back.  B e prepared for that day which will come unexpectedly.

Luke 11: 24-26 - In the parable of the unclean spirit, Jesus reminds us that Christianity is not about the things you don't do.  Christianity is focused on removing the things that are not helpful and replacing them with something that brings glory to Christ.  Honor Christ in the things you do this week. 

Luke 5:33-38 - Jesus explains to the Pharisees that following Him involves a new way of living.  You cannot just add His teachings to your life.  Following Him means embracing a totally new way of thinking.  It involves replacing your old ways with His ways.  Live your life this week the way Jesus intended.    

Luke 21:25-36 - Jesus uses a blooming fig tree to remind us that there will be signs of His coming.  Our focus is not to focus on the signs but on being prepared, praying, and living in a way that demonstrates peace from within.  We do not find our comfort and encouragement in external things but in our relationship with our Lord and His Word.  

Luke 12:13-21 - Jesus reminds us that life is short and life invested in this world only is a foolish way to live. Real wealth is possessed by people who are trusting Christ in the world to come.  People who invest and spend their life on things that impact eternity are rich toward God.  Invest your life in something that outlasts your time in this world.  

Luke 14:25-35 - In the parable of the Tower and the King, Jesus lays out the terms for discipleship.  Jesus is not interested in followers who will not follow through.  He has to be the essential thing in your life, and all your life must revolve around Him.  Discipleship requires an all-or-nothing commitment.  As a true disciple, you are a steward of everything God has given you and an owner of n...
