Penguins and Leafs trading - Duck, duck, goose! 03.02.2019

The Penguins move some expiring contracts and underperforming players for a couple of players looking to hit the playoffs and contribute.  Toronto gets a big improvement on their blue line and look pretty good to make the most of the last year on some key ELC players.  Keep doing it Carolina, keep making this sport fun! Well, the Buffalo Sabres are fun to watch, and the pleasant surprise of the season so far. Will it stay that way for them, if it doesn't is Jeff Skinner sill on the roster after the trade deadline?  In Pittsburgh the same frustrations with the team bubble up on the podcast, even though we promised ourselves we wouldn't do it, we are human after all.  Thanks for listening!

Rutherford made his first trade this season, will Pearson help or hinder the required change on the ice.  There are issues all across this roster, but the goaltending is not bailing out the skaters.  Don't panic yet fans, lets wait and see if Mr Mediocre can pull a rabbit out of his hat to make up for the last 2 years of moves.  Thanks for listening.

After asking the question about Pittsburgh and their shaky back end, they go and tear up western Canada, with some high octane offense and great goaltending, only giving up 6 goals in 3 games.  Matthews being injured sucks as much as the Wilson appeal.  Thanks for listening.
