Robert Hansen was an Alaskan serial killer known for abducting and raping his victims.   Hansen would turn them loose naked in the Alaskan wilderness. He would then hunt them down and kill them with a cross-bow.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Robert Ben Rhoades, a former truck driver, raped and killed more than 50 women.  He equipped the cab of his truck with a type of dungeon with handcuffs on the ceiling used to incapacitate his victims. In 1946, a serial killer, known as The Phantom, terrorized the small town of Texarkana, Arkansas. In a two month period eight people were brutually attacked.  Five of the victims died of their wounds. The whole community was in a panic. The Salem Witch Trials were a series of prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts in 1692 and 1693.  The mass hysteria over witchcraft lead to hundreds of arrests. Griselda Blanco, known as the Black Widow, was a drug lord of the Medellín Cartel and a pioneer in the Miami-based cocaine drug trade during the 1970s and early 1980s. At the age of 15, Edmund Kemper killed both his grandparents to "see what it felt like." Upon release from prison, he drifted, picking up and releasing female hitchhikers. But he soon stopped letting them go, killing six college-age women in the Santa Cruz, California, area in the 1970s. Still not satisfied, Big Ed his killed his mother and her best friend. Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle was one of Hollywood's biggest stars in the early 20th century.  In 1921, he was at the center of the film industry's first major scandal. Arbuckle became the defendant in three widely publicized trials for the rape and manslaughter of an aspiring young actress named Virginia Rappe. Rodney Alcala is a convicted rapist and serial killer responsible for at least 5 murders and perhaps as many as 130. The Hartford circus fire was one of the worst fire disasters in the U.S. history. The fire occurred during an afternoon performance of the  Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus  that was attended by 6,000 to 8,000 people.
