I Corinthians 13:1-8a Today we’re continue our series on fear by looking at the fear of intimacy. Fear of intimacy is a feeling of discomfort with emotional or physical closeness, often stemming from childhood trauma, neglect, or fear of rejection. It can manifest as avoiding physical contact, difficulty being vulnerable, or maintaining a facade of perfection.

2 Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear, and yet, so many people live paralyzed by fear, especially the fear of being rejected. This does not come from God, and today we are going to let God’s word empower us to overcome the fear of being rejected.

For some of you, this is your greatest fear: Failure. If you let it overtake you, it will cost you more than you can ever imagine, and your greatest fear, failure, will lead to your greatest pain, and that is regret.

Ephesians 6:10-20 Since the war is not over and Satan is not yet destroyed, we need to make sure that our defences are in order. Paul tells us to ‘put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes’ (Ephesians 6:11). He then mentions six pieces of equipment which we need.

Romans 5:12-21 Why would Jesus be our substitute and take the wrath that we deserve? Why would the King of Kings willingly lay down His life? Why would the Author of Life submit to death?
