Romans 8:1, “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” That’s the essence of Christianity. That’s the central, foundational message of God to the world. This is what we announce. This is what we plead. This is what we lay down our lives to communicate to the nations and the neighborhoods: No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

How do we live as broken people in a broken world? Should we give in to despair and assume that this is the way things will always be? Should we simply seek to numb our pain through whatever pleasures and comforts we can find in this world, looking to make the best of a bad world? By no means.
