All too often, the world seems to believe that in order to come into the church, he or she must clean themselves up, have the right clothes, say the right things, give off the right persona...but until then, they would be stopped at the door. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Although to the unsaved, lest God opens their eyes and lets them see and understand, the message of the Gospel may n...

This Sunday is the Sunday that has historically been commemorated by some in the Christian and Catholic faith as the day the Magi visited the Christ Child, known as Epiphany Sunday. Happy New Year from Highlawn Baptist Church! Every year, on the first Sunday, Highlawn reviews the Covenant of the church as a congregation. Today's message was preceded by the presentation of the Fourth Day of Advent - Love. This was presented by Mark Drake and Brady Patterson, with the lighting of the Love candle.
