This message from Exodus 23:20-33 centers on the powerful truth that God goes before His people. Using personal stories about older brothers who protected and guided him, Pastor Jay illustrates how God similarly leads, guards, and prepares the way for believers. He explains God's promise to Israel that the Angel of the Lord would go ahead of them into the Promised Land, defeating their enemies and...

This sermon explores the powerful truth that while spiritual warfare is real, it is never beyond the sovereign control of God. Drawing from Job 1:1-12 and especially Job 1:10, the message pulls back the curtain on the unseen world to reveal three comforting realities: Satan walks to and fro throughout the earth seeking opportunities to accuse, tempt, and oppose God's people; God places a protectiv...

Guest speaker Phil Swartzentruber explores the contrast between earthly kingdoms and the Kingdom of God through Paul’s ministry, a football analogy, and Jesus’ third temptation in the wilderness. Phil shows why Jesus refused Satan’s offer of worldly power and how the cross became Satan’s greatest miscalculation. He highlights the unity of Jews and Gentiles, our rescue from the domain of darkness,...

The speaker briefly summarizes the chapters in between—God giving detailed instructions about worship, community life, restitution, festivals, and the construction of the tabernacle. The focus of the sermon becomes clear: Go...

This sermon explores how the Ten Commandments are an expansion of Jesus’ two greatest commandments: loving God and loving your neighbor. Rather than being restrictive rules, the commandments reveal God’s character and provide a pathway to true freedom, flourishing, and faithful living. Given to a people already rescued from slavery, the law teaches God’s people how to live in grateful obedience, p...

Pastor Steve challenges believers to carefully test every teaching, influence, and worldview against Scripture rather than blindly accepting what sounds spiritual, popular, or emotionally appealing. He warns that there are two opposing influences at work: the Spirit of Truth, which points people to Jesus Christ and God's Word, and the Spirit of Error, which leads people away from biblical truth th...

Pastor Jay opens with an illustration about attending a Dude Perfect event. Although he was physically present with people he admired, the experience did not transform his life. He uses this to introduce a key question: Is meeting God enough, or must something follow that encounter? Using Exodus 19-20, he describes Israel's dramatic encounter with God at Mount Sinai. The people witnessed thunder,...

This episode explores one of the New Testament’s most profound and transformative mysteries: the believer’s union with Christ. Drawing from Jesus’ teaching in John 14–15, Paul’s writings, and Old Testament imagery, the message unpacks what it means to enter into Christ and for Christ to dwell within the believer. The sermon traces this dual reality through Scripture—using Noah’s ark as a picture o...

In Exodus 15, Israel pauses after the miracle of the Red Sea to sing the first recorded worship song in Scripture—the Song of Moses and Miriam. This sermon explores why praise is the natural and necessary response to God’s saving work. After centuries of oppression and the terror of Pharaoh’s army, God delivers His people with unmatched power, and their immediate reaction is worship. We trace this...

This sermon contrasts empty, outward worship with genuine, heart‑level praise. Using Amos 5:23, it warns that God rejects worship offered without sincerity, even when it sounds beautiful. A modern example of a Christian music group living in hidden sin illustrates how outward praise can mask inward rebellion. In contrast, the story of Handel composing Messiah shows worship shaped by Scripture, sac...
