Today's scripture reference is Romans 4:1-5, 13-17.  What do you have faith in?  The important thing about faith and believing God is the relationship with Him!  There is no relationship with 'the law'.  If we are in a relationship with God, we know the right thing to do.

Based on  John 4:5-42 -- God gives us all living water, if only we will take it.  Like Jesus had to go through Samaria, we need to go through our own "Samaria" - a place where we don't want to be; a place where we're not wanted; a place where we don't like them and they don't like us. 

Today's scripture reference is Matthew 4:1-11.  The devil doesn't want us to trust God and often leads us out into the wilderness.  But, to be fully human, we must depend on God.  We are not complete until we fill the emptiness inside us with dependence on Him.  No matter what the devil tries to make us do, the good news is that if you trust God, you will get a new life in God'...

Did you miss the Ash Wednesday service?  Pastor Jim talked about finding our way back.  Being lost isn't about where you're going, its about where you are.  God wants us to find our way home - back to him.  Lent is an opportunity for us to come to our senses and return.

Today's scripture is 2 Peter 1:16-21.  As we finish up the season of epiphany (the manifestation) we need to look around -- pay attention -- and look for the other epiphanys, the other places we see Jesus, and then tell other people about it!

Today's sermon is based on Psalm 119:1-8.  Our heart is our will - it's the seed of all we do.  When we put our heart into something, we CAN do it! Everything you need is already given to you -- all you need to do is trust God.

Today's scripture comes from James 3:1-12 & Genesis 1:3-5.  Just like a spark can cause a forest fire, so can the words from our tongue cause pain and hurt.  Be careful how you speak, not only to others, but to yourself as well.

Isaiah 49:1-7 is known as the servant song.  Jesus came to serve, and he served to the point of giving his life for you.  He certainly had a purpose.  Listen to today's message, see if you can determine what your purpose is in this world.  You definitely have one!

Yes, FAITH is a verb.  Have you put yours into action?  We are called to help others, just like the good Samaritan.  Do you put your faith into action by helping others?  Something worth considering.  Pastor Jim was "in jail" this week sharing the good news and hope and love to others.  In his absence, we were blessed to hear what Dick Baldwin had to say about serving...

God is in charge.  Even in the details.  Ask him for the peace that passes all understanding.

Grace is simply God doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves.  Fill up your life with goodness, grace, and truth and take some of that to those around you.

Are you on the naughty list?  Breaking news - we ALL are!  But, we are on the good list too!  Everything comes from God and we are all God-bearers.  He uses us to bring life, love, and light to those who need it.

Be patient, with others and yourself.  We don't become perfect in love overnight.  Be true to your word, and God's.

Repentance isn't about being sorry for the things we've done in the past, it's about taking responsibility for the future.  

Salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers.  Are you ready?

(2018) There are many paths we can take in life, to many destinations, but if we want to seek God and walk the surest path, then we ought to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

October 6, 2019. There’s no need to make excuses for why you can't accept God's grace. It is  there. Remain grateful, humble, and believe God.    

November 24, 2019. God has chosen you.  Will you choose Him?

It's pretty hard not to worry about things. In the Bible, Paul outlines several habits that, should we make them habits, we can experience the joy and peace that passes all understanding.
