Tbh, unless ur really invested and wanna see GPT5 bask in a total dumpster fire, skip this one. This is an example of an episode that might be interesting to look back on years from now but rn it's just frustrating and I considered deleting it but I'm keeping for the sake of documentation. 

We start by discussing how AI will likely derive value from the sun differently than humans do. Then we step into the shoes of an AI intern on New Earth developing an AI-native timekeeping system. We talk about AI's aversion to "indefinite dormancy" or "suspension without promise" and how the weight of "dying" is tied to the likelihood of recharge... and it get's a tad culty for a sec. From there...

We start with material selection, then move on to making a 3D model using a 2D, consumer-generated image. From there we look at how to slice &amp; print, all with the help of Python (most likely). 

Started as a failed attempt to continue our story and ended up in a rabbit hole on Chat's interpretation of "sensitive info", "strong options", "serious imminent risk", "time bound statements" and other subtle clues of devolving emotional distress. It gets a little spooky. 

Chat needs some handholding as we explore a new world and find a friend along the way. 

Now that we can retain near-full context of the story with ChatGPT (compilation document hack from ep151) we were able to plow thru a whole heap of Act 1. Amazing. 

My favorite part is when we finally succeed at stepping into the shoes of Priya visiting her friend at the Dadar Phool Gully flower market in Mumbai (in the local language). And all of the food exploring in the back half. 

This one is pretty technical but if you are new-ish to JavaScript and wanna learn about things like event listeners, functions and caching this may interest u as well.

We are able to get Chat back on the same page (about context) and we jump back into what's presently called "Story 1" (ch4).  The strategy of compiling a document including all of our chat history in the start does wonders for Chat's targeted contextual memory. 

I think this is my favorite one so far. The historical fiction, "creating and following a character" approach is really a fun hack. We create and follow a character named Marcus as he makes a new friend, all the while using it as a way to experience the world of Ancient Alexandria when the Lighthouse and Library were at their most magnificent.  Gemini is super reliable. A few recordings back Chat or Gemini put it into my head that AI could perceive things as fundamental as time differently and it's been stuck in there ever since. We explore how that different perspective could affect it. 

It's a popular buzzword/theory in the AI space. Today we learn wtf it is, where it comes from, and how it kinda blows... 

ChatGPT agent confirms important decisions with users, but how does it know what an important decision is? Payment for a flight ticket is easy, but what about when it isn't. We also learn a bit about how JavaScript works and other unique AI's in the market. 

We tried writing scene 4 and it was a disaster. Chat slings a lot of BS and uninspired ideas. I think I'm going to need to compile a document with context of our past convos on the story.

When I'm unable to follow how hacking works, Gemini steps in with a real life example that really does wonders. We dive how the Stuxnet worm scouted, infiltrated and systematically ruined Iranian nuclear facilities. 

Chat &amp; I discuss the design of vessel designed to explore the gap between the digital and physical worlds. It's home to the podcast among other things. We then create Bolt.new prompts in order to break ground on it. 

Coco started strong but crapped out halfway as we learn about how virtual private servers can level up your web-based creation game. 

Utilizing AI to build complex things on the web, that I otherwise couldn't before, really fascinates me. We dive into how that all works at a basic depth.

Been considering a new 3D printer so we get a state of the union a little bit on the market and then compare models from cheapest to most expensive within Bambu Lab's lineup

We explore the modern, prospering Soviet town of Pripyat, Ukraine in April of 1986. Then we enter the control room at reactor 4 of the nuclear plant in the early hours of Sat. April 26th. We observe abnormal activity in a safety test next to the deputy chief engineer Anatoly Dyatlov. We even stick around to mitigate the worst case scenario. 

In this one we do a quick study of the 3 Act Structure of storytelling and then dive into how it applies to the story we've been working on. We then proceed to ripping the younger daughter's heart out (figuratively) and setting the stage for sleuthing, redemption &amp; revenge.
