Our LOST rewatch continues with every episode of Season 5 (13:30). Jack has a bomb! Sawyer provides an alternative model of leadership. Kate latches onto the nearest sleazy deadbeat she can find. Sayid gets literally Weekend at Bernie’s-ed for a few episodes, and poor Juliet can’t escape the writers. Remember, only fools are enslaved by time and space.

This week on the pod, we’re flashing forward to Season 4 of LOST (21:02). Jack is trying to fix everything by getting his people off the Island. Sayid is following close behind, cleaning up all of Jack’s mistakes. Kate revels in her love triangle chaos, new characters Miles, Faraday and Lapidus from the Freighter are awesome, and if anything should go wrong, Desmond Hume will be our constant.

We’re back for more LOST talk! This week we’re covering some selections from Season 3 of the show (11:42): s03e01 A Tale of Two Cities, s03e14 Exposé, s03e20 The Man Behind the Curtain, s03e21 Greatest Hits, and s03e22 Through the Looking Glass. The wonderful Juliet makes her entrance, Charlie doesn’t suck for once, and Jack is somehow losing his grip even more than before. We have to go back!

Okay, guys, we finally did it. By popular demand, we’re talking about the 2000s television series L O S T for the next month or so (27:10). This week, we try (and fail) to cover seasons 1-2 of the show by discussing s01e01 Pilot, s01e04 Walkabout, s01e17 …In Translation, and s02e23-24 Live Together, Die Alone. It was so nice to revisit all our old friends and also Charlie.

Because we hate ourselves, and there’s a pandemic on, we watched Cats (19:07). Don’t.

While we all shelter in place, the guys go remote to talk about a classic time travel romance post-apocalypse pandemic movie: 1995’s 12 Monkeys. But first, the guys discuss Devs, Picard, Westworld, and a little bit of Trouble (6:59) before diving into the Terry Gilliam joint (22:30). Don’t forget to wash your hands.

Settle in, folks, you’re not going anywhere for a while. To keep you entertained, James and Marco banter for a little about Devs, Nancy Drew and Star Trek: Picard (4:04), before moving on to the main course, the 1992 Michael Mann film The Last of the Mohicans (28:36). This week on the pod: we suspect foul play, and have eliminated no suspects! We are delighted to be talking about Knives Out (29:25), Rian Johnson’s whodunit masterpiece, which we both adore. The guys check in with a throwback to 1990, for Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan’s first, and definitely weirdest rom-com team up: Joe Versus the Volcano (18:38). Join us as we explore this strange little fairy-tale of a movie, that features Tom Hanks in a bad mullet and Meg Ryan doing triple duty in three roles, with lots of weird accents. We learn something new on the pod this week while discussing James Cameron’s disasterpiece The Abyss (12:54): Marco doesn’t like underwater scenes. Who knew? Regardless, JT will still stan for this somewhat overlooked film about the mysteries of the deep. It’s a miracle that multiple people didn’t die making this movie. Also a miracle: Michael Biehn’s mustache.

This week on the pod: Sneakers! (18:45) It’s a fun little film from the early 90s that we’re kind of obsessed with. Join us as we look back at a movie that’s part heist film, part paranoia thriller. What a cast! What outfits! Ben Kingsley’s accent! Plus we talk a little about Underwater and rant a tiny bit more about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at the end.

The 2010s come to an end with an extra long Headcanon podcast! First, we talk some recent TV, including Watchmen, His Dark Materials, Mr. Robot, The Mandalorian, The Witcher, and You (2:03). Then, our Top 5 and Top 10 lists for the decade (24:22). Finally, we settle in to break down Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a movie we did not like (59:22). How could you, JJ?? This Christmas, smoke some pot and reveal to your spouse the time you emotionally cheated on them in a dream! Or, watch Eyes Wide Shut (30:32), the last film from master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. Nothing says Thanksgiving like the Headless Horseman. The bros are back this week for a deep dive on the 1999 semi-classic Sleepy Hollow (25:09). But first, we do a little spoiler-free talk on Charlie’s Angels, Knives Out, Watchmen, The Mandalorian, His Dark Materials, and more. Happy Thanksgiving.

The Dark Knight is somehow convoluted and absurd and also a masterpiece that defined a decade, even if the plot doesn’t make any sense.
