HCS Talks - featuring Superintendent, Dr. Raymond Haynes

This week, Dr. Haynes talks with the back-to-back state champion football coach at Phoebus High School, Jeremy Blunt.

We're excited to introduce HCS Teacher of the Year, JoAnna Wilson-Jones. Wilson-Jones is a math teacher at Syms Middle School.

Nancy Beach, executive director of Hampton Education Foundation, sat down to talk with Dr. Haynes about the purpose of H.E.F., student and teacher grants, as well as H.E.F. Fest on Sat., Nov. 4. The event is a fundraiser for the H.E.F..'s Teacher Grant Programs.

Veronica Hurd, director of the Academies of Hampton, discusses with Dr. Haynes how Hampton City Schools became a Ford Next Generation Learning Community, highlighting the newest K-12 designation. This week, Dr. Haynes chats with Hampton City Manager, Mary Bunting. She serves as the co-chair of the HCS steering committee for the academies of Hampton. They discuss the academies impact on Hampton and what she is most proud of in regard to the city and school division.

It's the first week of school and Superintendent Dr. Raymond Haynes stops by a first grade classroom where he learns about swimming, drones, and roller coasters. He also visits with two high school seniors and gets their perspective on senior year and some advice for the new freshman class.

On the inaugural episode of HCS Talks, Superintendent Dr. Haynes sits down to talk with long-time colleague and friend, Deputy Superintendent & Chief of Staff, Dr. John Caggiano. Dr. Caggiano highlights science kits that will be used at the elementary school level this year and shares some personal experiences during his first Ironman.
