Whether it's English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education or GED Prep, there are classes for adults to take their next steps. WHFC student intern Mohamed Bangoura sat down with Dr. Lorraine Peniston to learn more about the Adult Literacy programs that HCC has to offer.

The Honors Program goes beyond the standard curriculum to provide another layer of learning and accomplishment. Do you have kids in school? It may seem a bit early but planning for 2023 summer camps starts now!  Kelly Pulaski, Coordinator for Youth Programs, joins us to talk about the ever-growing list of offerings at Camp Curiosity. 

Biotechnology is a very fast growing field, and the number of career paths grow constantly. From pharma to agriculture to manufacturing, biotech keeps expanding. Associate Professor Jackie Madden talks with HCC 360 about the many biotech pathways  available at Harford Community College.

If you are interested in a career in the electrical trade, HVAC, or child care, the opportunity to get started is here. HCC 360 returns for the 2022-2023 school year with a new season of interviews and information. We begin with Interactive Media Production - a brand new, interdisciplinary program of study at Harford Community College. Student intern Mohamed Bangoura interviews Assistant Professor Rachel Kalwa about gaming, design, computer science and more.

Well, the first year of HCC 360 went by in a blur! WHFC and the Harford Community College Communications Department will be back very soon with a lot of new episodes. In the meanwhile, WHFC student intern Don Coyle picked out some of the highlights of the last year and will guide you through a slew of great opportunities. 

Have you ever thought, 'I'd love to learn about that'? At Harford Community College, there might be an opportunity for you. On this edition of HCC 360, we talk with Pam Kennedy, Director of Community Education and Personal Enrichment. She lets us know about the non-credit classes, travel groups, camps, and more that HCC offers to the community. 

A HCC 360 - a double-header! WHFC student intern Steele Felts sits down to talk about the Pearson Vue test center with Aaron Dunn and the Adult Basic Education Program, GED prep, and the English as a Second Language Program with Rhonda Davis, transition specialist for the Adult Literacy and Development program. 

Data Science is a fast-growing field, and Harford Community College is keeping up with the times. Join the Dean of STEM, Pamela Pape-Lindstrom, on HCC 360 as she discusses the new Data Science program and many of the potential careers it can lead to. 

HCC 360 dives into the Honors Program at Harford Community College. Dr. Tony Wohlers, Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences and STEM Professor Chris Jones join us to talk about how the program works within HCC, the community it creates, and the annual Scholar's Summit. 

We welcome Jessica Edmondson, Coordinator for Technology Career Pathways Professional - Workforce and Community Education, and David Litterello, Director for Workforce Development, Administrator - Workforce and Community Education. They'll discuss GEER II funding, scholarships, and workforce development programs such as the AWS Cloud Computing certificate. 

Not everyone comes to college knowing exactly what they want to study. Harford Community College's General Studies program is for those students, and it's one of the most popular programs on campus. Dr. Tony Wohlers, Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and Elaine Gisriel, Student Development Specialist, join HCC 360 to fill us in.

HCC 360 dives into the Criminal Justice program at the college and Discovery Courses in forensics offered in local high schools. The guests will be Dr. Tony Wohlers, Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Assistant Professor Jon Carpenter and Adjunct Professor Jessica Orchowitz.

Kelly Pulaski, Coordinator for Youth Programs at HCC, stops by HCC 360 to tell us about Camp Curiosity. With dozens of full and half day programs, Camp Curiosity provides a safe and fun learning experience for kids in K-12.

Dr. Austin Hill, Director for Strategic Partnerships at HCC, joins HCC 360 to talk about the new Leading Edge Training Center powered by the Ratcliffe Foundation. This facility in Edgewood, MD offers hands-on workforce training in logistics, customer service, welding and much more.
