Light expels darkness. And yet, even for a Christian, sometimes the darkness of depression can set in. When that happens, where do you turn?

What makes depression different than sadness … one word … hopelessness. Yet for those who are in Christ, there is a light that pierces darkness.

A loneliness epidemic is increasing in our society as rates of marriage decline and single households grow. But it’s not leading to happiness.

Is depression in the Bible? Not in a clinical sense, but yes, it’s all over … a universal expression of human suffering in a fallen world. And yes, the Lord meets us in it. 

Everything seemed like it was in the right place: good marriage, happy kids, a strong walk with the Lord. But then depression hit out of nowhere and she knew she needed help.

Make disciples of all nations, Jesus said. In other words, all people groups … all places … all languages. The task is for the church, but you have a part to play as well.

Sometimes less is more, but in Cuba less is simply less. And as more Cubans leave the island, the church is paying the price.

In the face of hunger or a shortage of clean water, what does the church do? The church steps up to meet the need, but we cannot stop there … because the greatest need is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Cuba is an island of contrasts. Beauty and poverty. Resorts and hunger. All of these co-mingle side by side. But the greatest contrast is the Light within the Darkness.
