Haven of truth:Anchored in His Word

Despite all the things going on around us; the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer. Seek His truth and those things that are higher. Reflect His light, truth and love for each other.

The word gospel comes from the Latin. It simply means good news. In this dark and sometimes dismal place; let us shine the beacon of hope, truth and life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew testifies to Christ’s sermon on the Mount and His analogy to our being the salt. Salt preserves, enhances and yes, even brings out sweetness. His words are indeed relevant to what is happening around us today.

Jesus Christ came and in heavenly truth knowledge and wisdom; He cancelled cultural differences and derisiveness. Reading in John 8 we find just one example of Jesus cancelling the CULTURAL way. The woman at the well, another.

HIS truth and HIS word we must share. God asks so little of us and yet there are those that cry out too much. I can’t…I thank my Lord that he didn’t and still came for me…and anyone else that will believe.

Brothers and sisters, in the tumultuous society of today; we MUST learn to deal in grace and walk in the light, reflect HIS light. Seek His ways, truth and knowledge; not that of mammon.

We are given authority and in spite of all that is falling and failing in this plain of existence, we have a hope, an anchor and in this dry wilderness; we have an endless supply of thirst slacking water. Living water.

Some might get confused in that these are a similitude and are not the same thing. Put out the effort and in spite of the difficulties or the ‘white noise’; persist and steadfast walking in His truth and purpose.

Communion is about us being of one body, mind and spirit. No colors, no castes…just the character of God’s love.

Psalm 16:7&11; these words should be our words each day. Jesus’ prayer over us that he prayed in John 17. Read and see that we are the ones that believe through their word. Numbers 6:24-26.

Day by day God is with us. Remove I from the central point of the equation and replace self with God in the center. The day is His as He created it and has walked it. He is by our side.

Remember that Jesus Christ IS our friend and savior. John 15 is Christ speaking to his disciples and teaching on this. Speak truth, be upright in His righteousness.

The promises of God to be with us always, through all things. We must look up and reflect His light, His truth and not that of mammon.

Rejoice in the Lord and praise Him always. Seek His truth and not that of mammon. Tear down the partitions and share His love and His truth.

We must pray one for another: encouraging each other in the Word and sharing righteousness and His truth.

God is constantly with us and for us. He is walking this walk and He will not leave nor forsake us. Look to Him.

As Christ gave His disciples then: we are his disciples now and have, according to His Word; been given the same authority. Walk boldly and upright. Be of good courage.

As Paul wrote to the church at Philippi of faith. We too must hold onto our faith. Treat others as always more important than self. Share the Word, teach the Word and LOVE the Word. Maintain Spiritual Integrity.

God’s desire for us all: his children and creation to be unified in our belief in Christ and our faith in him.

Ephesians 2 is about the communion as much as is written in the other books of the Gospel. It is about unification through the blood of Jesus Christ and we are all brothers and sisters.

Jesus came to reconcile mammon to the Father through His sacrifice. Pull down the partitions of mammon and renew our mindset. Matthew 22:37…all thy heart, all thy soul and all thy mind.

Studying to be more Christ like, to return the savour to the “salt of the earth.” Return the strength to the term Christian.

Complaining of what goes on around us is not a good thing. It only makes more slippery the tenuous path we walk already.

Hear with spiritual hearing, see with the scales removed by his spirit.

Seek His Word and stay in His Word. Study to show thyself approved. Paul wrote the words to encourage for studying His truth. I speak the words to provoke seeking His truth.
