Before we go in depth on the Cultural Revolution, here is some of the background information so that you can understand the cause and effect: what was happening to enable the Cultural Revolution to happen?

As the title suggests, this is my brief analysis of the success or failure of the first two five year plans in regards to the industrial and agricultural policies.  This is just to give you an idea of the sorts of arguments that could be made in an essay (with more evidence provided, of course).
