The greatest hope is that there is more than this life. Eternal hope doesn’t begin when you die, it begins now.

Temptation comes to all of us, but God has given us the power to overcome it. We can overcome temptation by not only knowing the word of God, but obeying it.

Our lives, even as Christians, are filled with battles, wars, and campaigns. As children of God supposedly walking in great victory, we should be more joyful, free, powerful, united, and confident.

While we cannot imagine physically surrendering our freedom others have died to secure, how often do we voluntarily surrender the freedom of our soul that the Son of God died to secure for us?

God built us for community. Our freedom comes from relationship with God and others.

You could say that Romans 12 is the turning point from the "what" and "why" in our beliefs to the "how." Since we have been justified by grace through faith, here is how we should then live.

Raise the standard of your giving, and you'll raise the standard of your living.

We're certainly living in ungodly times, but how can we change that? Living godly lives requires us to follow the godly people. Follow people who are following the Word of God.

When we attribute anything evil as being caused or sent by God, we have a view of God that’s not biblical. It’s important to have a biblical view of God before we hit tough times, otherwise we end up with an emotional or situational view of God.

God can't do something THROUGH us until we allow Him to do something IN us. Does God really heal people? Only if He still saves people.

Since Eden, we’ve been eating from the tree of knowledge. We want to know, not trust. If we know, then life takes no faith. But when we trust and obey God, we have peace about the unknown future.

There are habits and patterns and decisions in your life that have absolute consequence, yet somehow, no matter what the outcome is they are still extremely difficult to change.

Is social media helping us or hurting us? While the Bible never mentions Facebook or Instagram, it does teach us how to live lives of contentment, compassion, and calling.

Our relationship with God precedes the rules we set for our kids. We cannot direct them to a God we do not know. Learn what God's Word says about how to parent the greatest gifts that He has entrusted to us.

If God is the source of all things, then He has a rightful claim to them. And if they belong to him, then they are Holy. First-fruits is acknowledgment that God is the source of all and I worship Him as the rightful owner and giver of blessing.

Grace is the undeserved, unmerited favor of God. The mistake we make – especially in the church – is that we believe grace saved us but enough effort and good works will keep us.

Life is full of various paths that we can choose. Our sin nature wants us to be led by feelings, emotions, self justification, and more, whereas Scripture instructs us to choose the right path by trusting the Lord.

Each of us needs to ask ourselves: who am I listening to, who am I looking at, and who am I longing to model after? If you want to be sure you are choosing the wise path, choose the one that Jesus is walking on.

When it comes to the Word of God there are two options: obey or disobey. These two options lead to two completely different paths and outcomes.

Salvation is really a question of authority. If Jesus has the authority to forgive my sins, then that same authority remains and governs my life eternally.

If Jesus heart’s desire is that we are sanctified, we need to know what that means. Last week, we learned about consecration – being dedicated to a purpose. Sanctification is very similar but with one key difference: it denotes what we are dedicated to. Sanctification is to be made Holy.

How do we live DIFFERENT when we are immersed in a culture where anything goes? How do our families live DIFFERENT from a world that endorses a life built on the idea of "just do what makes YOU happy?" How do we live CHRIST-centered in a SELF-centered society?
