Harvest Selah

The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 16:1, “I am not ashamed of the gospel…” Jesus was not ashamed of us and came for us just as he promised. We should not be ashamed of him, who he is, and what the scriptures reveal about his future rule and reign.

The world is chaotic, harsh, and broken. People across the globe desire and cry out for PEACE. Into this darkness, the King of Heaven willingly plunged himself and brought with him Undaunted PEACE.  

Unstoppable Hope is directly connected to Unrestrained Joy! True Joy is found in the person of Jesus. We celebrate that Jesus came just as he Sid he would, and he is coming again - Let the Joy be unleashed!

The world was steeped in darkness and God's people hoped for light, anxious for the coming Messiah. He would come and break through the darkness, fulfilling the prophecies of Isaiah. Jesus was the Light then and is the Light today.

The Kingdom advances as the Church works “Together” to fulfill the Great Commission. We are meant to Pray Together, Work Hard Together, and value every name included in the family of God.

Words have Power! Words have power when we PRAY to our Father in Heaven. Words have power when we PROCLAIM the Good News of Jesus to the people around us. Lord, help us to honor you in Word and Deed!

New Life in Jesus is meant to change every relationship that we have, especially the relationships in our homes. The Prescription is Christ Above All for Wives, Husbands, Children, Fathers, Employees, and Employers.  

Jesus didn’t come to make us better… He came to make us NEW! New Life IN Jesus calls for change in every area of our lives. A New Heart, Mindset, Identity, and future means that we need to get rid of everything that doesn’t resemble the Savior.

BEWARE: The Church is under attack by false teachers. Satan can’t bring Christians back into his family, but he will work hard to derail and disqualify us. Some of the religious tools he uses are Legalism, Syncretism, and Asceticism.

Be Secure in the Truth. Be Secure in God’s Love. Be Secure in your place in God’s Family. Be Secure in the midst of an insecure world.

Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus is given equal standing as a child of the King and citizen of Heaven. There are no first-class and second-class members of God’s family. Our world longs for this equality, but only Jesus provides it.

The most articulate description of the person and work of Jesus in the Bible is found in Colossians 1:15-20. It reveals a beautiful sevenfold picture of Jesus, emphasizing his Preeminence (Superiority). Jesus IS the Greatest Of All Time.

Prayer is powerful. Prayer is deeply connected to our spiritual progress. You and I need people continually praying with us and for us regarding our growth in the Lord.

The Gospel (Good News) is advancing across the globe. People of every tribe, tongue, language, and nation are included in the family of God. Pray for multiplied numbers of people to hear and understand the Gospel of faith in Jesus.

The world doesn’t understand unity, and it rarely experiences it. For Christians, unity is something we pray for, pursue and protect. May we enjoy greater unity and the Lord’s blessing as we follow him.

We are forgetful people and often need reminders to help us remember what is good and right. The Lord never forgets his people or his promises.

Persecution in this life is real. The Peace of Jesus in this life is real and available. May the Lord remind us of his presence in suffering. May the Savior plant Gospel seeds in the furrows that pain has plowed.

An honest personal evaluation should lead us to cry out to the Living God for Mercy. No one else can provide the forgiveness we need. No one else has the inexhaustible resources to rescue and save.

Everyone wants to be happy, but very few genuinely experience happiness the way God intends. Psalm 128 reveals how you and I can be “happy” and “blessed.” Warning: it may look different than you’ve imagined.

God is continually Holy, Loving, and Just. There is never a time that he is not displaying these attributes. God does not waiver, but people do. We can tend to be faithful, compromised, or even rebellious. May the Lord help us when we look more like Culture than Christ.

If the Lord had not intervened on our behalf, we would still be under the power of Satan, sin, and death. Glory to God - he is on our side and took the penalty that belonged to us.

Distraction comes to us easily, and being focused requires discipline. In this world of distraction, we will need to train and retrain our eyes to remain focused on the Lord.

Do you Expect God to move in your life, your circumstances, and our world? When we have Walk on Water Faith - it brings Expectation that God is going to move mightily and our job is to keep our eyes on Jesus.
