Laziness can be detrimental and spiritual laziness causes us to be indifferent. - Laziness can easily get us to the place where we don't want to try new ventures, are unable to finish what we start, find it difficult to respond to God's call. - Don't live our lives thinking that there can always be later or tomorrow! Work while there is opportunity!

All of us have an identity. You don't have to compare to someone else or be someone else. - Knowing our identity in Christ is vital to navigate through this life. The only way to knowing ourselves is to know Jesus Christ. - Don't let your identity be stolen. Find your identity is Christ!

We will come to a time where we need to wrestle with God and Jacob's wrestling matches show that even the promise of God is not without pain or problems. - Perseverance is navigating through those pains and those problems and eventually it will lead to our purpose. - Let's persevere and wrestle through in this life 💪

The trap of comparison has pushed people to find fulfilment in keeping others ‘below’ them. By comparing, people hope to feel better about themselves if they are ahead. - But the truth is God made you to be you! Don't bother running our measuring stick over others in front of us, or next to us or behind us. - You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

None of us are spared from mental health challenges. Having a healthy mind is crucial because in life, we will be faced with the ups and downs. - If we are struggling with our mental health, it doesn’t mean that our faith is broken and it is nothing to be ashamed of. - Having a healthy mind is as important as a healthy spirit. Let's take good care of our mental health!

Our hope in life beyond death is a hope made possible not by some general sentimental belief in life after death but by our participation in the life of Christ. - Waiting under God is not about what we can get at the end, but what we become as we we are waiting. - How are we living our lives? Let's live our lives declaring and saying Jesus over everything!

The mind is a powerful place. When we sow a thought, we reap an action; repeated actions form a habit and habits determine destinies. - A renewed mind is about change, not just knowing. Let's have a renewed mind for God to do something through you!

We have the blessing of Abraham upon our lives through Jesus Christ. - Blessing has a purpose in our lives and we must constantly look beyond ourselves. - Let’s be a greater blessing in our 16th year as a church!

Stress is a part of our lives. We certainly don't welcome it, but it always keeps knocking on the doors of our lives. - We may be stressed, but don’t get stressed out. Learn to unwind and destress every now and then.

All of us want God's blessings over our lives, our families, our relationships, our work, our studies but the fact is this: God is not obligated to bless us. - Blessings and curses are conditional. Obedience will lead to blessings.

Every encounter with God has a purpose and when we want to have encounters with God, we must be ready to respond to His will and purpose. - Mount Sinai was where the 10 Commandments were given and the 10 Commandments is a revelation about God and His character. - God had never wanted a compliant people; He wanted a covenant with His people!

A lot of us know and even profess that God’s will is important but how many of us actually fulfil it. - It is not difficult to know God's will, the willingness to submit is the one that hazes His will in our lives. - The little steps of daily obedience will ultimately lead to submission to His will!

The Mount Moriah test was not to produce faith but to reveal faith and Abraham knew very well what was required on that mountain. - There is always tension when obedience requires something from us but the mountain of obedience can become the mountain of providence. - God's promise is waiting upon our full commitment to Him!

Most of us and if not all of us today have a mobile phone and when we talk about network connections, we are talking about qualities like coverage, speed, and value. - How many of us see that in our connection with people? Coverage (friends), speed (reachable) and value (meaningful relationships). - Let's continue to stay connected with one another through conversations, deeds, thoughts and prayer...

What is the most valuable investment in life? People are highly valued in God's economy. - Let's invest and build meaningful relationships!

Laying on of hands refers to an impartation. The cross would not be complete without the horizontal relationship in that we impart, that we share, we love with people around us. - God is not looking for platforms, He's looking for people. Let's love harder than ever before ❤️

To 'edify' means to 'build up', to 'improve' each other. - Let's be an edifier not destroyer and let's be generous with our words of encouragement!

The doctrine of baptism teaches about our Christian journey right now and how are we to walk with Jesus. - The pattern that Jesus has set is one of a servanthood and it is because of what Jesus has done, we can have a brand new life! - How are you following Jesus? How are you living your life for Jesus?

How well do we know our fathers? - It is one thing to know who God is, but who is God to you? Not just what you can get from Him, but who is the Father to you? Do we want to know God more as our Abba Father?
