Today, we look at the lies culture perpetuates about sex and what biblical sex can look like.

Authority of God & Scripture: God’s word is authoritative. Sex was God’s idea, the devil offers a cheap counterfeit. God's way always leads to flourishing!

We know that we have an enemy, but he has been overcome by Jesus! Our choice is who we will agree with and if we will share His story.

Worship is simply our testimony put to melody and music. In order to fully grasp the beauty of worship under the New Covenant, we need a deep understanding of the Old. Then, we will be the kind of worshippers the Father seeks and a people who are a wonder to those around us!

One of the main reasons God is writing a story in us, is to bring others to Him!

When our lives readily tell the stories of who God is and what He has done- we will be a wonder to many.

It's all about Jesus! He's the hero. He's the point of it all. He is over everything and so, in everything, we long to give Jesus His due attention.

We won't settle to be entertained, we want to encounter God. One encounter with the Spirit of God can change everything!

We are compelled to create. When we receive the peace of Jesus and look into the broken chaotic world, we seek opportunities to bring the peace and beauty of God.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together! Individualism can't be our posture because we is always greater than me!

This week, our guest preacher Pastor Brady Boyd, brought a powerful message on being distracted and how to stay focused on the assignment God has for each of our lives.

Language is essential. We seek to create and shape our culture by using words and phrases that accurately reflect the people we want to be and the things we endeavor to do. Words have the power to heal and the power to destroy, so we are quick to listen and slow to speak.

As Christians, we are ambassadors of another Kingdom. We carry the name of Jesus with us into every space we find ourselves in!

We have been saved, redeemed, and reconciled to our Savior. How can we not be a people whose default is joy? Some seasons will be awful, others amazing, yet the grace of God always remains.

Generosity is not a complex emotion that we have to muster in a moment. It is a simple response to Who God has always been.

We are Gospel Obsessed. The Gospel is not just a message we receive, it is a story by which we are sustained. Once we have received the Good News of Jesus, our only response is obsessive devotion.

As we finish the Gospel of Mark, we see through Jesus' death and resurrection an invitation for us to die and walk in resurrection life as well.

What does it mean to be redeemed? Do we settle for a watered down version or do we walk in the fullness of God's redemptive love? Peter shows us what it means to live a life that has truly experienced the restoration of Christ.

Jesus faced much rejection during His life on earth. We all face rejection, too - but, do we choose to live in it? The Father's invitation is for life and freedom from rejection!

This week in Mark, we consider the leaves of "spiritual legalism" and how we can we live a life marked by freedom and humility.

Guest speaker pastor Daniel Grothe speaks to the sense of loneliness that many feel in today's age of hypermobility and noncommittal wandering, reminding us of the ancient vow of stability and teaching us how we can lead a richer life of friendship, community, and purpose.
