Why do we still worship God after Christmas? We do it because he continually builds and heals His people, governs the world in wisdom and power, and sustains His covenant people eternally.

The paradox of the extraordinary in the ordinary is one of the most revealing parts of the Christmas story. Jesus is the only extraordinary part of the story. This Christmas, God is asking us to follow him. He demands a response from ordinary people. What will your response be?

Our loving shepherd provides joy for His people in the way He cares for us in His grace.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is a caring and loving shepherd for His people. His love and care establish order in our lives, which brings peace as we flourish in the blessings He provides through our relationship with Him.

Are you thankful to the Lord? Paul was and there is a lot we can learn from him and his letter to the Philippians.

Jesus will return when the Father sends him back to establish His earthly kingdom. We do not know the day or hour. Until he returns, we are to be about His business on earth. He will reward His beloved based on the good works of faith they have done and punish those who have faithlessly not served him.

When will Jesus return? He'll return when the Father sends him back to earth to establish His eternal kingdom. Not a moment before. Until then, we are to remain confident in Christ, active in our presentation of the gospel, and vigilant as we wait for Him.

Joseph's brothers returned to Egypt for more grain after they had eaten all they bought on their initial trip. This time, they took Benjamin with them to their father, Jacob's, shigrin. Joseph welcomed them, fed them, and tested them.

Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy grain to offset the burden the famine was placing on the family. They met Joseph for the first time, though they didn't know it.

The Pharisees and Sadducees sought to trap Jesus. However, none of their tactics worked because Jesus, as God, cannot be trapped by human logic. After they finished, Jesus asked them a pointed and essential question. "Whose son is the Christ?" They couldn't answer.

Are you bearing the fruit in keeping with repentance? Jesus asked the same question to the religious leaders of his day by telling them three stories. One was about a father and his two sons, another was about tenants of a vineyard, and the third was about a king and the wedding feast he hosted for his son. Join us as we walk through them together.

God put Joseph through a trial to prepare him for the leadership that would come. God's "frowning" providence is as blessed as his "smiling" providence is.
