Today, unlike the resume “embellishment” that happens far too often, we are going to be focusing our attention on a resume of exactly the opposite nature. There is no attempt to make up for a lack of quality with quantity. Instead, in the first four verses of Hebrews we have a brief list of the most amazing accomplishments by the most amazing person – Jesus Christ.

Hebrews makes clear that Jesus Christ exceeds all other people or pursuit, and it makes it clear that Jesus is better than everything.  Better than the angels, a better hope than anything else can bring, and a better sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice, for our sins.
