It is human nature that makes us want to be in control. This goes back to the fall of man in the garden, where God removed dominion as punishment. We live in a society that preaches antiauthority, and too often this mirrors what happens in the spiritual world. To respond to God, we have to yield control. The enemy of our salvation is not the devil but our pride. That pride will get in the way of t...

Some things God gives us are for that moment, and other things are timeless. God gives us grace to bridge the gap between what we have and need. None of us can do it on our own, and He is looking for us to surrender all that we have to Him so he can finish it. God knows enough about us to know that none of us have enough to finish it. The question is, do we want to finish it? God has the differenc...

We talk a lot about seasons: Baseball Season, Hunting Season, and the Holiday season. Seasons are temporary, and if it will happen again next year. We often describe portions of life as a season. Some are joyful and pleasant, but others are painful and difficult. Fall marks the change of time between Summer and Winter. Temperatures drop, days get shorter, and the leaves change colors and fall from...

Many people limit themselves with their own thoughts about their past, mistakes, and limitations. We’ve all done things that we shouldn't have done. God loves us no matter what. God can forgive anyone, but too many people cannot forgive themselves. Through the Bible, God uses flawed people to accomplish His will. Each of these people doubted themselves but allowed God to work through them to do pe...
