Jon invites us to take a moment to reflect on what Christmas is really about and what it can mean for us today. SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 9:1-2, 6-7 & Luke 1:46-55

Too often we look for joy in things that won't last. But the joy of Christmas is grounded in God and in his saving works for us in Jesus. SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 12:1-6

We live in a dark world, yet light brings us hope, joy and peace. God's light has come into the world through Jesus. It's his presence that brings us peace. After all, he is the Prince of Peace. SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 9:1-7 & Matthew 4:12-17

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 40:1-11 In many ways we live in the space between our hopes and reality. Even if life has eroded our hope, the advent season invites us to behold God with fresh eyes and have our hope renewed.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:31-39 As the Spirit speaks and applies the truths of the Gospel, Christians too much also participate in this work. Paul points to 3 truths and their proofs which directly deal with the lies we so commonly believe.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:28-30 God's and his faithfulness are the foundation of our confidence in life. Christians are called, conformed and glorified in Jesus - and this gives us an unshakable assurance no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:9-17 Kirsten Wade from Inner West Church preaches from the text, showing us how we can be confident in the Spirit's work in our lives in adopting us and transforming us as God's children.

SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:1-8 Who or what governs our lives? And what fruit does that bring? Living governed by the Spirit brings us into life and peace, free from condemnation.
