This is the passage that helps us to understand that there is a battle all around us and it shows us how Jesus experienced this as “one of us” and how He was victorious. Not only do we, by faith, share in this victory but He helps us to make our own stand and by faith gain victories in our daily lives.

Imagine waking up one day to a whole new reality. Learning that the world was not as you thought it was. This is the plot to so many of our stories. For us as disciples of Jesus this is our reality when we come to faith. There is a new reality we are compelled to live by. The reality of the kingdom and the adoption into Gods family.

Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians by calling them 'saints'. As we journey through his letter together we will discover what it means to be a saint and how it is we can live up to the calling to which we have been called.

The year is already begun and time is getting away from us! To that end we share the sense of direction that we feel the Holy Spirit is leading us in this season. We are trusting and praying that it will be a fruitful year in the Lord.

In Ps. 85 we find again that our LORD has a strong desire to transform. He has revived His people and He is reviving His people and He will revive them as well. There an invitation to seek Him and there is even some language to help us to pray for reviving and renewing times.

We serve a God who works across generations. From Adam to Abraham. From Abraham to Jesus. From Jesus to us... it's clear that God works across the ages to bring about his kingdom. How can we begin to think about and partner with God in serving the generations to come.

This psalm is an invitation from the LORD to partner with Him in a project to bring His fully glory to the whole earth. Here is our purpose; here is our great hope; and, here is the very air we breathe as His people - living in harmony with His glory.

Just like our physical senses can become dull or inadequate so our spiritual senses can do the same. So how then do we have 'eyes to see and ears to hear'. Jesus unlocks the secret in his parable of the sower. Where he gives us a paradigm for understanding and receiving revelation from God.
