Why did Jesus become like us in every way (Hebrews 2:17)? That is what we’re studying for Advent and for our fourth Sunday of Advent, we are studying Hebrews 10:19-23 to learn that Jesus had to become a human so He could make a way, through His flesh, for us to be reconciled with God.

For Advent 2023, we are studying the truth of Hebrews 2:17 – that Jesus became like us in every way in order to be our savior. In our third Sunday of Advent, we are studying Hebrews 7-8 to learn how Jesus in His flesh is the guarantor of a better covenant.

For Advent 2022, we are studying selected passages in Hebrews to learn about the person of Jesus as our Savior. For the first Sunday of Advent, we are studying Hebrews 1:1-3 and learning how the person of Jesus is the "exact imprint" of the nature of God.

Today, we join with other churches in taking a stand for vulnerable children and families touched by the Foster Care System. We study Jeremiah 22-23 to see how God calls His people to action on behalf of the poor, vulnerable, and oppressed.
