God commands Christians to be unified with each other, but how can they do that and what exactly is this unity? Paul speaks to these questions and tells us that Christian unity is grounded in the very nature of the Trinity and in the actions of Jesus. 

How can a person experience true peace and unity with others? The Apostle Paul answers that question as he encourages a group of Christians who are under attack from external and internal forces.

How can a Christian act like a Christian? There is no exhaustive list or set of rules to follow in the Christian life, so how can a Christian know how to act, speak and live in a way that is appropriate? Paul gives the answer in Philippians 1. In it, he tells Christians to live like who they are in Christ and he helpfully gives three ways in which they can specifically do so.

One of the most famous lines in the entire New Testament is found in Philippians 1:21 “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” But what exactly does the Apostle mean? How does Christ change a person's life and change the way they look at death. The explanation of this passage helps to answer these questions and it also provides a litmus test for genuine Christianity. 

Paul, the great preacher and missionary, has been thrown in jail. Yet, he says that the gospel is still progressing. But how can the gospel continue to advance in such challenging circumstances? Paul gives us the answer.

What can give light and hope in the darkest of circumstances? David underwent just such deep valleys in his own life. Psalm 63 was written during just such a challenging time and in it, he gives the answer for how we can have hope and where we should turn when all seems against us.

How does Jesus measure up to other religions and other gods? Paul faced that very question when he spoke to a group of Greek philosophers and citizens of Athens. His message has much to commend itself to our own time and situation which point us to Jesus.

Where do you put your peace and security? Paul tells us that there’s a day coming when that will be put to the test; that it’s really about WHO you put your peace and security in that will save you when that day comes. The day is certainly coming, so you have a choice and a potential change to make today.

Christians are told that we should expect the world to not understand us and even to be negatively hostile toward us. But why is that the case and how do we face it properly. Peter’s first epistle gives us the answer and the tools Christians need to face this challenge.

To whom do you run to when the sky seems to be falling and the ground is crumbling beneath your feet? The Psalmist reminds us that all earthly forms of refuge are weak and will one day collapse and give way, but those who make God their refuge and strength will never fall.

What does Jesus mean to you? We see in Luke's gospel that He alone is the wisdom, strength and true representation of God.
