There is a difference between peace-making and peace-keeping. Peacekeepers walk on eggshells to not upset anyone. Peacekeepers don’t share how they really feel so they don’t start an argument. Peacekeepers avoid conflict and apologize for things that they haven’t even done. Peacekeepers always feel taken advantage of and find their identity in not making waves.

Leverage your heart, your assets, your network, your difficulties, and your story for the glory of Jesus and to advance the Kingdom of God in this world. When we leverage all that we have for God’s greater purpose we begin to become aware of all the things that have been entrusted to us by God. It is within that awareness that we begin to play a greater part in his redemptive story for this world,...

We are called to be a light. The light offends the darkness. We may offend at times, but let it be because we are walking in the light, not because we are being kind of jerky christians.

We walk in awareness of the enemy, but we walk in awe of who God is!

Think of prayer more about forming than as a formula. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Centering is when we seek to quiet scattered thoughts and desires in the stillness of Christ’s presence. Listening is waiting before the Lord in open attentiveness.

Aligning is about creating space in our schedules to meet with God, giving Him permission to search our hearts and minds for any thought, feeling, or motive that is out of alignment with all that He desires for us.

Being a person of faith does not mean we put our heads in the sand, it does mean that we engage with what is happening in the world with discernment and faith.

Breathing is second nature - God’s Word is intended to be the Oxygen of our lives.

Everyone is a disciple of someone or something - who is your Rabbi?

How are you reading God’s Word? Are you deeply, meditating - hagah? Or are you just trying to check off something on your to-do list? Being a disciple of Jesus is meditating on His Word.

The Bible is more than a how-to, self-help book. Breathing God’s Word is first about taking in a deep breath and inhaling all that He desires for us to take in. At the same time, His Word is not intended to just remain in us but that we would learn to exhale and breathe His words to those around us.

A friend is someone who invites, invests, and inspires.

This week, during our Sunday services, we experienced community as it is modeled for us by Mike, Matt, and Jen.

Cultivating nurtures belonging and sharpening, not shaming and hiding.

Since the inception of sin, the world has been living under the tyranny of evil. Since the inception of Jesus, the tyranny of evil is now living under the threat of the Messiah.

Jen spoke a powerful message about Living Differently in our broken world, and practicing hearing the voice of God! We had an intentional time of conversation with God, with some helpful questions leading us.
