Elf on the Shelf 15.12.2021

If you follow me on IG (as you know you should), you know we do Elf on the Shelf. Well, some think it's crazy and a waste of time, but in the words of Mrs. Tabitha Brown, "That's my business."  But I'm also going to address it in this episode.

Admitting I Don‘t Know 01.12.2021

I like being in control, or at least think that I am. So, I become uneasy when I don't have the answer to the problem or solution to resolve it. That's where faith should show up, but sometimes I'm a little stubborn.

A Heart of Thanksgiving 24.11.2021

This time of year, people are either full of holiday joy or struggling with sadness. The difference between the two groups is perspective. We can either focus on what we have or focus on what we don't. Today, I'm choosing the former. What will you choose?

This Was Stressing Me 17.11.2021

With everything going on at the moment, the last thing I need is to add more to my plate. But that's exactly what I did by focusing on the minor stuff and wanting things done a certain way. Sometimes we have to just let go and throw away the agenda.

Putting On My Mask First 10.11.2021

Have you ever been on a plane a heard the flight attendant say, "Put your mask on first, before trying to help others?" Well, that concept should also be applied to everyday life, but it's not. Well, at least not in my world, but that's going to change.

Always Mr. Fix It 05.11.2021

I'm grateful for a husband who wants to be my Knight and Shining Armor, but there are times I need him to let me be! Can anyone relate? Sharing my thoughts and business, lol, on today's episode.

A Hard Lesson to Learn 27.10.2021

What's that saying, "A hard head makes for a soft behind?" Well, my stubbornness has made a bed that I now have to get comfortable in. Just another hard lesson to learn, smh.

It‘s Been A Lot! 20.10.2021

Things have been busy, but we're grateful for it all! Some were even reminders of desires from long ago. So, if you want to know what's been going on, then check out today's episode.

My 75ish Journey 13.10.2021

What did I learn from 75 Hard? Did I complete all 75 days? Will I do it again? Well, you're going to have to check out today's episode to find out, lol. But for real, I learned a lot from the challenge that and I have incorporated into my lifestyle, and I want to share it with you!

Unapologetically Authentic 22.09.2021

I've learned it is time for me to let go of who I (as well as others) thought I was supposed to be, and embrace who I am (right where I am). I was made to be different, and I need to stop being insecure about being a peculiar person and just be my authentic self. But it takes practice, so as I celebrate another year around the sun, I vow to practice authenticity daily.

The Mask of Positivity 15.09.2021

As believers, we know the Word tells us too, "Count it all joy. . . Rejoice in the Lord. . .  and Be anxious for nothing." But what about when we don't feel the joy too rejoice and our anxiety is on the rise? Does that mean we are any less of a believer? Of course not, but the way some believers are set up, they will have us thinking that we aren't.

The Gift of Failure 08.09.2021

Failure is something a lot of people (me included) fear because of our perspective. However, failure should be chased and embraced because it's actually a gift of growth and development. Failure helps us to become who we are supposed to be, rather than who we (or other people) thought we should be. Failure is also an opportunity to inspire others, by giving them hope to keep moving forward.

Don‘t Do It Alone 01.09.2021

There's even a saying, "You're either in a storm, coming out of a storm, or about to head into one." So pretty much, we all go through it from time to time. Which is exactly why we should reach out to our village when we're feeling overwhelmed by the storm, but we usually don't, and that can lead to poor decision making. So, I'm here to remind you not to do life alone.

Are You Ready or Just Playing? 25.08.2021

Ever heard, "Be careful what you pray for?" Lol, I'm sure you have! Because prayers aren't always answered the way we might expect. Which may also cause us not to be prepared when it happens. So, do we miss out on the promise? No, maybe just delayed.

It's the Little Things 18.08.2021

I'm pretty sure you heard the saying, "You don't miss a good thing until it's gone." Well, I think those words are true, yet unfortunate. Because sometimes, once it's gone, it's gone. However, I also think it's a lesson in not taking things for granted and appreciating the blessing. Even those things that first appear as an annoyance, lol.

It's That Time Again! 01.08.2021

Hello World! Today, I am joined by a special guest, and you have heard me mentioned her name a time or two dozen (lol) in regards to my health journey and very first detox. I've asked her to join the conversation and share information about this year's detox and how it's has already impacted her life. So, let's welcome my sister-friend, Riva Prewitt!

What About Your Friends? 21.07.2021

Hello World! I wasn't always the best at making friends. Because I allowed past hurt from my childhood cause me to be guarded. It also caused me to keep people in my life longer than I should have. But, I'm grateful for my growth and the progression I have been making to change that.

Ooh, I'ma Tell Your Mama! 15.07.2021

Hello World! I think I've gone soft, lol. I remember how my mama would put the fear of God in me, that I wouldn't dare do some of the things my kids do. But why is that? Why am I more lenient on them than my parents were on me?

Over People Pleasing 30.06.2021

People are so finicky! They love you one day, and hate you the next. I'm over it and over how we try to use God to justify our judgmental ways!

Communication is Key, but I'm Locked Out! 23.06.2021

I haven't always been the best communicator, but marriage has taught me how vital it is to survival. In fact, it's caused me to evaluate how I've communicated throughout the years in other relationships as well, and it hasn't been pretty.

Broken but Purposed 17.06.2021

Sometimes I feel inadequate for the things that I am and supposed to be. But recently I was reminded that although I may be broken I'm still purposed and I want to share this reminder with you too!

It's Our Anniversary 02.06.2021

Today, Anthony is joining me to celebrate our anniversary! It's been 13 years and we are sharing some of the things we've learned from the day of our "I do's" till now.

It's the Confidence for Me! 20.05.2021

Does anyone else out there have issues with affirmation? Meaning, either you find it hard to receive or give compliments. I've realized I've been confusing this humility or being modest, but it's deeper than that and I'm sharing my thoughts about it.

I Love My Husband, But . . . 12.05.2021

Am I the only wife who loves her husband, but willing to admit he gets on my nerves, lol? Well, I sharing some of my pet peeves, and how I've learn to deal with them.

To "All" the Mothers 06.05.2021

Being a mother is more than giving birth. It's the pouring of oneself into others, while mastering the skills of multiple trades. To be a mom, is to know how to mother, which is the definition of strength, grace, and God's love for us.
