It's been over a year since I last ran a campaign. Well, I'm gearing up to begin a new one. This time set in the City of Scorn. At least in the beginning it'll be an urban setting and see where the players take it. Crawlers of Scorn coming soon. 

I give advice on how to optimize boring random encounter tables. Make random encounters useful and with context. I say context a lot in this episode.

I answer a question posed on the podcast Arcane Alienist by BJ. And follow up with calls from BJ and my way off rolling for 5e skill checks.

I'm not sure if I achieved my goal of the podcast but here it is none the less.

This episode was inspired by last night's Iron Rations episode where there was an interesting discussion about editions.

Okay, this is a weird episode. It starts off with me talking about music in games. Then the podcast gets interrupted by three chickens. Yes, it did. Then in the second half I'm joined by Whisk as we continue our discussion about music in videos and in game. Then we end the podcast with deciding which rock bands would be what character classes. 

It's a Saturday morning and I start the day writing. I share a few things I do to help me stay focused.

Sometimes you just have bad Game Days. Sometimes it's because the scenario/situation and some days it's due to your just too tired.
