Welcome back to GospelWell Podcast after the summer break. As the seasons change, the GW podcast enters into a new season especially to ramp up to the next season of GospelWell, Fall 2023. The summer included a team going to Vilafranca, Spain and Sunday Summer Nights series on gospel proclamation. So, we touch on the gospel that drives mission and evangelism.

We take a break from the usual GospelWell discussion to share what we learned from Tim Keller who died on May 19. Even as GospelWell is an iteration of the "Sonship" course by Jack Miller, it is also impacted by Tim Keller's development of the gospel as the transforming power. Tim was pastored by Jack.

In this episode, Sam and Fuji discuss some impediments to Gospel Community. They finally also get to answer a question that was sent to them. 

Jesus unites us to Himself and then to His local body of believers--the church. Jesus wants to grow believers into His likeness through cultivating our character through being in community. Sam and Fuji follow up Session 9's presentation and discussion on how we must work out the gospel in community.

Sam and Fuji continue their discussion on legalism and licentiousness. They begin to delve into the topic of personal worship and the regular feeding of the Gospel. Too often, personal worship is minimized to "having a QT." But what does that really mean? Why is personal feeding of the Gospel more than just a quiet time?

One of the great challenges of sanctification is how to continue forward in life in the Gospel without falling to either legalism and licentiousness. Both have the power to rob one's joy in Christ and weary one's soul. Sam and Fuji discuss this topic which has broad implications.

This week, Sam and Fuji discuss Death to Life, the regular experience of the believer (a result of union with Christ). They give examples from their lives along with some random thoughts on music that might work (or not) with the podcast.

In this episode, Sam and Fuji discuss the much forgotten but central topic, "Union with Christ." They explore suffering and identity in light of this Gospel truth.

Why do so many of us fail to hear about the grand doctrine of adoption, especially since it is so instrumental to joy in the Christian life? Fuji and Sam discuss this strange phenomenon. They also go off tangent a bit to discuss the tension of striving for excellence in all we do, while fighting off the dragon of idolatry that seems to crop up when excellence is in view.

At our last GospelWell, Thomas shared about the seminal topic of the Great Exchange. Sam and Fuji discuss some of the implications of this glorious exchange.

How can we grow in our understanding of the holiness of God? Perhaps it is to dwell on the heights of the redwoods or just maybe, to repent over the depths of our sin. Sam and Fuji discuss this foundation to the Gospel.

Lat week, Fuji did a Gospel Flyover where he explored the Gospel from a bird-eye view. Sam and Fuji discuss topics like Gospel forgetfulness. They spend some time discussing their challenge with the tongue assignment.

This is our first GospelWell episode, where we discuss the launch of GospelWell. GospelWell is Wellspring's launch of our Gospel-centered intentional discipleship over 11 weeks. In the following episodes, we'll discuss all things discipleship and Gospel.
