Happy Labor Day everyone, and welcome to the first day of September. Things will be warming up some, then cooler for the weekend. When will we have a chance of rain again? The long range models suggest not until next week....

TGIF. How log will this cooler weather hang around, will we see any rain returning, and will it get hot-hot again? All this and more is in there? It being the 20th anniversary for Hurricane Katrina striking New Orleans, which is where I lived at the time, I added some of my perspective. Have a listen and see what I think!

There's hot, then there's hotter, and we will see both over the next week. When I was in Louisiana, folks would tell me about the heat out west, " but it's a dry heat ", they said, " it doesn't feel that hot !" What do you think? My email is gordon@gamweather.com. It looks like a warming trend will be returning. Listen to see just how warm we get, and when.

It looks like we will have some much needed rain, starting tonight, that could effect some of the events around the area tomorrow. How long and how much, that's in the forecast!

We are finally cooling down and there is a chance of some measurable rain in the forecast also.

The Wildfire, August "normals", the forecast, and the extended forecast through the middle of the month from The Climate Center. I put it all in there!

Warmer the next couple of days, then back to..."normal". Wildfire concerns increase the second half of the week for the Cascades.

Summer-ish weather continues, slightly cooler the first half, then back up near 90 the second half.
