In this week's sermon, Pastor Heidi reminds us that we are the light of the world. There is no debating this, nothing we need to do or improve upon - no matter what work we are doing, the light is already in us. How is your light shining in your life?

In this past week's sermon, we have been served by God to appear in court. Pastor Alice presents the case and asks us - do we not see all the ways that God blesses us? And what do we do with those blessings? Do we use them for our own gain or to help others? God does not want repayment or a feeling of guilt for our blessings, only to walk with each other in kindness and love. We are called to open...

In today's Gospel, Pastor Heidi reflects on his this is a "Jesus moment" or an important moment in the life of others that is marked with Jesus. She asks the congregation - what are your God/Jesus moments? Weddings, the birth of a child, baptism, or even finishing a difficult task can all be moments when we see God revealing His nature to us.

On this Baptism of Our Lord Sunday, Pastor Pat reflects on what our baptisms mean to us. He reminds us that water is central to who we are as a people of faith. And that in it, we come out reborn in new life.

Who do you think you are? Pastor Heidi isn't accusing of anything, just asking where do we come from; who are we from; what makes us who we are? She reminds us that if we look back in our history we'll find we have an inheritance in our faith that there to be shared with the world.

Pastor Alice reflects on the violence of this week's sermon passage and how that violence seems to keep happening all throughout human history. But she also reminds us there is hope in God continuing to write the book on our history - that he brought Jesus into the world for us and continues to work in the world through us to share the light of God with the world.

Do you work tirelessly towards having an "ideal" holiday? Pastor Alex reminds us that these fanciful hopes are just that - a fantasy. Life comes up - people get sick, people fight, people pass away. Instead, Pastor Alex invites us to meet the world as it is with love, mercy, and grace and just maybe we will experience the holidays in a whole new way.

On this third Sunday of Advent, Pastor Alice invites us to light the pink candle and talk about joy!

When it comes to the preparation of the arrival of Jesus this Advent - things like doing a devotional, participating in service projects to others, or a daily prayer practice are all things that can be done.
