How It Started: Abraham & the Sacrifice of Isaac. Genesis 22:1-19, Hebrews 11:17-19. God gives tests. Not to be cruel but to demonstrate what is really in our hearts. Abraham passes the test and God get's the glory. A win-win outcome!

This sermon addresses God telling Abraham to walk before Him blamelessly, and telling 90 year-old Sarah He does the impossible - she's having a baby! Genesis 17:1-18:16

How It Started: The God Who Sees (Part 15). Genesis 16:1-16. In today's passage things seem to completely fall apart. Is there any way to repair the mess that's been made? Can we find hope in the God who sees it all?

How It Started: A Smoking Fire Pot and a Flaming Torch (part 14) Genesis 15:1-21 This sermon addresses God as a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch sealing His covenant with Abram who is justified by faith.

How It Started: Bickering - Battling - Blessing (Part 13). Genesis 13 & 14. This sermon addresses that the life of faith is not the same day to day, but the promises of God are.

How It Started: Promise Keeper (part 12). This sermon addresses God keeping His promises to Abram despite Abram's reckless husband leadership and lying ways while in Egypt. Genesis 12:10 - 13:2.

The call of God to Abram is one that would impact the world all the way even to today. This would be a call that sends Abram to a place, for a people, with a specific purpose in mind.

How It Started: The Spreading Out of the Nations (Part 10). This sermon addresses Nimrod and the Tower of Babel as well as the race (not races) of human beings.

Part 9 of "How It Started". This sermon addresses worship given to God, God instituting a new covenant with Noah, and the same old problem of sin.

Part 8 "How It Started" Noah & The Flood. This sermon addresses God's judgment, recreation, and salvation from the story of Noah and the flood.

In the introduction to the story of Noah and the flood (Genesis 6:9-7:10) we find a man who is obedient to God in the midst of very challenging circumstances. So, how did he do it? Through today's passage we explore this theme of obedience, the challenges we face, and a pathway for us to be obedient to God as well.

This sermon addresses some of the most debated verses in the book of Genesis in Genesis 6:1-8 and the Nephilim. One thing is clear, humanity is moving deeper and deeper into sin and further and further from God.
