Submission is a broader Christian quality for all of us to pursue, and it has its unique and appropriate expressions in different relationships.

God wants us to give honor to whom honor is due. This morning, we want to honor and celebrate the gift God has given us in mothers as we look at the key Relationships in a mother's life, review key Responsibilities of a mother, and finally consider ways to Respond by loving our mother.

As aliens on this earth, we are to forsake earthly idols and set our minds on the things above where Christ is. Paul tells us that in order to do this we must put to death what is earthly in us and put on what is godly. It is then that we become a blessing to those around us including our families, friends, and even those in the workplace.

Present day world events remind us that earth is not our home. As a Christian, heaven is your home which makes you an alien here on earth, this foreign land.

Because there is only One God, and all other gods are not truly gods, the True God of the Bible is deserving of all worship and shares His glory with no other. Soli Deo Gloria, to God Alone be the Glory.

Idolatry is not simply a golden calf. It is, fashioning of ANYTHING to the place only God should have in our hearts. It

He is risen! He is risen indeed! Because Jesus is alive, we don't need to live with a heart of disappointment and doubt, but can live with a heart of worship. When you give your life to God and trust in Jesus, He will remove a heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. So what's your hearts response to this news...Jesus is alive?

Sometimes we feel like our spiritual life is on a stand still. This message is a call to persevere through strength and power of God. We know we're persevering when we look more like Christ and less like the world, Point people more to Christ and less to ourselves, and rejoice more in the spread of the gospel, and less in our comforts.

When the grace of God intersects with our lives, we go from being dead, enslaved, and hopeless in sin to being alive, free, and purpose-filled in Christ.

Ephesians 1:3-14 is packed glorious riches that we can only begin to comprehend in this life. This sermon focuses on this blessed truth, that the the Triune God of the Bible has chosen you who are in Christ to be an instrument of worship to Him.
