The believer has the forgiveness of sins and in the same breath, the Spirit of God in his heart

We continue our investigation of the effects of the sacrifice of Jesus on/in the heart of the man that has believed given that we have concluded prior to this that the sacrifice was for our hearts in truth.

7th Episode of our study on the Christian Faith. In this Episode, we consider again this 'Forgiveness of sins' thing, how that what Jesus did REALLY isn't a pardon but a WASHING. A purging! To receive the Forgiveness of Sins Jesus offers is to receive the washing away of our sins in our hearts; and that is a big deal!

Jesus washed our hearts! Aaron's tabernacle was a figure of the people hence when he is done making atonement for the tabernacle and everything in it, the PEOPLE are declared clean from their sins. Our hearts is that holy place where Jesus enters, we are the temple that He washes with His blood.

We investigate further the words 'Jesus died for our sins' from the writings of Moses. In this episode, we look closely at the atonement and what it means

We begin our investigation into the sacrifice of Jesus and how He fulfils the High Priestly duties and sin offering duties in Leviticus 16

We begin from where we stopped, A little detour: God wants all his saints to be TAUGHT; which means to have a teacher who feeds you God's Word. Nobody really (is) should be self-taught when it comes to Bible doctrine. We then begin this study into John's words "the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world". Feast!

Jesus died for MY sins. Pretty simple to say, just five words yet the biggest words any man will ever utter. In this episode, we begin an investigation into the forgiveness of sins.

We begin an investigation into the Christian faith, what it entails and what it does not ential. We start out by seeing that the Scriptures (Genesis to Malachi) are the books that contain the facts and details about the Christian Faith, not just Matthew to Revelation.

The importance of repetition. We look at the David's words in the First Psalm where he says "he's like a tree planted by the rivers of water". That means that the man repetitively feeds on God's Word, constantly, regularly taking in God's Word, that's why he does not become a chaff

The aim of God's Word is our prosperity! But no, this has no inference to money, wealth, cars et al. That prosperity is that our lives are transformed by the agency of God's Word. God wants us to have such transformed lives by His Word that the difference between when we were not feeding on His Word and when we give attention to His Word is so clear. Transformed lives! That's the goal!

God's Word is vital to the man who has the Spirit, we look through the book of Acts to see their valuation of the Holy Writ and investigate James' "mirror" that Paul also spoke about.

The Spirit of God will use the information fed to the mind to transform the heart, mind and life of the believer. An irregular intake of God's Word (from the explanation and teaching of the Scriptures) will mean that the saint will live less than God has designed that he should. God's Word is "fuel" for the "Spirit's engine" in our hearts.

This episode is a detour but a necessary one at that, we investigate Luke's writings in his two books (Luke and Acts) about being 'filled' and 'Spirit upon' to clarify that Luke did not write to mean that the Spirit was not in the folks until they were filled.

A re-emphasis on the Indwelling of the Spirit of God. There is not one person who has believed the Gospel of Jesus (His Death, Burial and Resurrection) who has not received in his heart the Spirit of God. This re-emphasis is vital to what we want to discuss as we continue the conversation around the Christian and his bible.

The Scriptures of the Prophets have at their centre the Christ; His person and His work of salvation. This is why the bible is important to us today. We see clearly in this episode that the Jesus-Moses war is actually a creation of ours because of the limitation we have built in our hearts. The Bible is the one book that stands above all others in the Christian Faith, it is the book that contains and presents to us the message that we have believed and hence should be the book that dictates and affirms our convictions.
