God’s Word And Daily Prayer For Today

We are admonished by the apostle and reminded that we cannot please God living contrary to his instructions. But, if we live by his word, we know and have assurance by the in dwelling of the Christ of God; that in that great day when Jesus shall descend in the clouds with the trump of God, coming to get the righteous ones of God, we will be able to go back with him.

Luke, an apostle of Jesus Christ wrote from experience what Jesus did and why He did it, and that after they receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost they too will have in-dwelling power; the Christ of God, to go forward and do and teach what He did, and taught them.

Here Jesus is acknowledging that He understands the sorrow in the hearts of those that were with Him and believed Him. However, He is assuring and reassuring them that as He promised He will not leave them without direct and personal access to the father

Jesus here was preparing his disciples for his death and the cruelty of it. But he was also teaching them to prepare themselves for cruel and poor treatment, this meaning to carry their crosses as they as he would carry his; even though his cross was a physical cross.

Beware of those that teach the gospel and don’t do what it teaches and choose to follow those that teach and do.

Jesus said a man must be born again of the water and of the spirit. Then live our lives in compliance with God’s plan of salvation which determines who will and will not enter into the Kingdom of God.

God here reminds the people that they were following the wisdom of the generations before them. Robbing God by forsaking to follow his command of giving back to him, through the church, the tithe or the tenth and an offering of our earnings we are in disobedience.

It was then and is now, Satan does not rest from trying to oppress and distress the church, the professed people of God from walking according to the desire of God. Even now, as it was then the church was in a great struggle when it came to and now comes to obedience.

Destruction and devastation would only visit the people of God after constant disrespect and disobedience to him.

when God sends a warning for his people to correct and amend their ways by way of repentance and they fail he will send destruction. But for those that give heed to God’s warning deliverance and protection will envelope them.

What we should learn from this message is that we should be patient and wait to understand our leading from the Lord.

God punishes wrong, even with his people, but when the adversary rises up against them to suppress them even more, God will, when He decides, come to their rescue. Satan is relentless at manipulating God’s people. He uses people against people. As then, even so now, God is on the move to avenge his elect.

In this scripture, I think we can capsulize the wisdom intended for the people and particularly the people of God by applying another scripture; which compounds the love of God, and that is: Galatians 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The leadership of Nineveh gave heed to the cry of the prophet and God recognized the sincerity and the diligent effort of the entirety of the people and their repentant attitude that He did not follow through with his intentions.

God said then and we can believe that he is saying now; because he is God that cannot change; woe to the heathen or nonbelievers that won’t or don’t try to help the believer in a time of distress, but take advantage of the believer and mock them with boasting and bragging God is coming for you.

The wisdom and understanding that the people of God were warned about then is the same that we should give heed to Today. That is don’t think that just because God has allowed for much prosperity in life the prosperous believer is still required to conduct their lives in humility, compliance to scripture, and reverence for God.

The wisdom we should garner from this passage of scripture is for Christians to turn to God in unison and singleness of heart with repentance, sincerity, and prayer.

The controversy or argument that God had then and still today is that those that announce themselves as God’s representatives in the earth give greater heed to rudiments of the world and secular wisdom than adhering to God’s plan for his people.

God let Daniel see the devastating things that would impact the world, but out of all of it God would deliver his chosen people. Scripture prophecy has already let us know of things to come. But God was kind enough to let us know that if we be diligent in our pursuit of him, avoiding rebellion, disobedience, and rejection of his word, deliverance will be ours.

In this passage we learn that rebellion and disobedience will sooner or later cause the wrath of God to be kindled and exacted.

This portion of scripture epitomizes what was wrong and what is wrong today with the people of God and that is, we are too reactive, as opposed to being more proactive, when it comes to our obedience to God and His plan of salvation for humanity. There is an old adage that seems to be applicable here: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

In this excerpt of biblical history we learn that God was very displeased with His people. As then, even now, the people of God gradually move away from the instructions of God. This provoked God then and now, to bring adversity of one sort or another in the lives of His people.

In this passage of scripture we learn that God inspired Isaiah, His prophet to prophesy to His people and to let them know that in their future prosperity was coming. But when prosperity comes wisdom warns to not take God out of the equation.

In this passage of scripture we find again the agape love of God being demonstrated. God is not a respector of persons but he does have respect to those that will do that which is right and according to his holy word. Blessings follow obedience, righteousness, and holiness.

In this passage of scripture we learn that if we follow the word of the Lord and obey His commandments and His statutes for us we will benefit the promises that He made for the righteous. We will find that life will be clearer, more precise, and will be more profitable.
